Xander had been scowling at me all morning because I hadn’t been ready when he’d turned up at the door. After what had happened with Malvolio, I was past caring about being on time for training.
We were sitting in the stupid training room again and my mind wandered. I wondered why I hadn’t seen Allador. It hadn’t been that long since he’d healed me, but I couldn’t help wondering what was happening with him and his people.
I looked around at the white walls. I hated this room already.
I thought I’d try to spark up a conversation instead of sitting here in silence.
