Chris dialled his assistant. "Alexia check where is Peter and tell him to meet me immediately"

" Yeah. Peter. Any update on Hunts"

"I informed them about the proposal.I don't think we have to put much pressure on Mr hunt. Since he sounded very much appreciated"

" Appreciated? There was no reluctance from his side "

"No sir. He was shocked that I am sure about but no sign of reluctance. He sounded very happy. He said he will inform Miss adhena then we can have a meeting"

"Any update from johns".

johns is the security head of Adams family.

"Yeah.Miss hunts have reached Hunts mansion" "So we can expect a call back soon"

"Yeah."

Peter seemed little confused.

"Anything else Peter. You seems not sure about something. Do you think they won't call"

"Not that. They will definitely call back but.. "

"Then? "

"Are you sure about the decision sir. I mean that back then an alliance with that family is what destroyed Adam family. Your brother has become quiet secluded.And your grandpa also left the City. It was all not so good for us"

Peter has been with Adam family for long. He is the grandson of his grandpa's butler. He is always a brother figure for him.

Adhena was so bewildered that she was not able to speak. Chris put forward the proposal?The life she leads now have teach her one thing "be cautious". She was sure It was no hidden love that made him put forward the proposal.What happened to his family , knowingly or unknowingly her family was responsible so the reason behind this could be to punish hunts or else Adams family was really somehow involved in the disappearance of Anne.

Seeing adhena in deep in thought Mr hunt started speaking "Adhena.So what is your decision? "

If she say no she was sure they will try to convince her which will lead to an argument. So she said "I am not sure. I need to think about it. I have not met this person. How can I come to an agreement? "

"Adhena I don't think we really have a choice. If condition goes like this it will be difficult for us handle your mom's treatment. I heard her condition is worst. If you marry in to Adam family it will be really good"

When his dad said about mom's treatment. She didn't know what to say.

"I need to go to hospital. I will call u dad"

Adhena left. Rachel started. "Why we have to be so calm towards her. You can just order her to marry him"

"Think before you speak we don't know his real motive behind this proposal. If he is really in love with her she can take revenge for what we did .so we have to be careful. You don't know Adam family's power. So we have to be cool with her"

Adhena thoughts

They were using her mom's treatment purposefully. However she doesn't have a choice she really needed help for the treatment. And she can't stall the decision for long because they are eager to join their name with Adams family. 8 years back the Adams family left the city.However in last 3 years the Adam family became the most powerful in the city. It is said their network is very vast. Everyone wants to be in good terms with them. So it is sure her dad will definitely force her to marry.
