Doubts of Past

Adhena wants the tears to stop however it's like her body is also resisting her freedom. She keep on wiping her tears. She thought she was a stupid to think that, she will be able to change his mind? She is a nobody. It was better if she married him without knowing or asking anything. Now all the wounds from past are fresh and it started bleeding again. She keep on pressing her nails. May be that physical pain will divert her mind.

After she left Chris went inside and locked the door. He was standing still with closed eyes , leaning his head on the door. Her face! Those tears!! His heart was feeling heavy. He punched hard on the vase near the door.It scattered in to pieces. His hand was bleeding. He opened his eyes and walked inside the leaving room.

He saw something shining on the couch, It was her earring. It would have fallen when he kissed her. He took it and went to his room.

He looked at the earring as if weighing something.He is not sure what came to him when she said she doesn't feel anything for him now. He was angry. Why??? Why he can't control his heart as expected? He looked at his bleeding hands.why can't he think straight when she is around?? Is Peter's doubt coming true?? He still loves her...

He threw the earring on the floor and shouted "No..I can't. It's not good for me.. It's not good for Adam family. I need to change the past , Not repeat it..I need to get a hold of myself"

Adhena's Apartment

Adhena took a deep breath to control her feeling ,Then opened her apartment door. Lily and jen ran towards her. Adhena looked down in order to hide her face. Lily started.

"What happened? I was so scared after talking to him. So I didn't have courage to call again. That's why I told everything to jen. We were thinking of coming there. Thank god you are okay. "

Suddenly jen tapped her shoulder and asked me.

"Are you okay? Why are you not looking at us? " She tried to touch my face. I went inside the living room without letting them see my face.

"I am really ok. You didn't have to come jen. " I tried to arrange the pillows and everything in couch so that I don't have to face them.I was continuously blabbering something. Which I usually do when I am controlling me. But they know me.

Jen stopped adhena and made her sit.

"Enough addy. We know you. Look at us. "

She knows she can't hide anything. She looked at them. Her eyes started to fill with tears.

Lily said "oh..what happened? Did he do something? I know this rich people they all are... "

Suddenly she stopped looking at Jen. Who was staring at her.

"Oh sorry. I didn't mean that.. I "

"Stop lily.let her talk, then make a fuss ok? "

"Sorry"

"Addy.what happened? What did he say? "

Addy couldn't hold back her tears. She cried hugging Jen tightly

"The past never leaves me Jen. Why is it haunting me. I didn't do anything wrong, right? Why I am being punished? "

"Shh.. Stop crying. You didn't to anything wrong. I know that. But people are blind .what to do? Don't worry I will find some way to stop this marriage"

"You can't Jen and you know that.If he decides something No one can stop him. "

"I will talk to him. Don't worry."

Addy wiped her tears and calmed herself

"No Jen. He is not the same Chris which we know back then. I don't want to involve you in this.He will do anything to do what he planned for."

"But why he wants to marry you? What revenge is he planning for? " Lily asked

"Whatever it is, It is all about past. He believes my sister deceived his brother. "

"He told you that? " Jennie asked

"Yeah, He also thinks hunts family is having some hand in all that.He feels because of that we are not searching for her. "

After some thinking. Jen replied.

"If they didn't do anything or they didn't have any hand in your sister's missing. Then may be your dad... "

Adhena looked at Jen in shock. She couldn't believe her ears.

Seeing adhena's stunned face Jen said.

"No... What I meant was ....what your dad did after your sister went missing... When you look into that.. I felt something was odd.. I didn't mean to offend you but.. "

Adhena unconsciously replied

"It looked like he wanted this missing to happen. Because he achieved everything after that and he didn't have any interest in searching for Anna. Even he discouraged grandpa. After grandpa passed away his sudden change from the grieving father was even shock to me. Then Rachel and Charles.... "

"Addy.. Addy... "Jen was calling her

"Huh... "

"Are you okay??? " Jen asked

"Huh.. I am okay"

Lily who was listening to all this. Said

"You suddenly spaced out and started talking as if you were completing what Jen said. You had this doubts earlier? "

She looked at lily as if she read her mind.

Jen asked "You always had this doubt? You never told me. When did you...oh..After your grandpa passed away? I have seen you space out a lot and even staring at your dad. "

Addy took a deep breath.

"I once had all this doubts. I even thought of finding out.I know he never liked us since he wanted a boy, but he is our dad he won't do it.This dilemma had killed me for months. And whenever I thought about Anna who didn't even come for grandpa's funeral. I can only think that......she is no more.... " She covered her face with her hands.

"No! No! No! I can't.I can't take that." She looked up and wiped her tears.

"Then all that pressure from life. I purposefully turned myself away from all this painful theories. "

After an age of silence finally Jen spoke.

"So.. Now what? What are you gonna do"

"I don't know Jen. I feel like if my dad is really involved, then I should payback chris. If he wants my life then I should give him. But I need time. I need to make sure my mom is ok. "

"But you are not sure right? Whether he is fooled by his brother or your dad really had involvement. "

"I need to think. " She took a deep sigh.

"I will go and lie down. I need to be alone tonight."

When adhena saw the worried faces of her friends she said "I am alright guys. I am strong you know that. Right? "

She smiled and went to her room and closed the door.

Lily looked at Jen and said "she will be ok. Right? "

"She will be. Don't worry. "
