Everything Is Chocolate
Aadrika came downstairs scrolling through her phone and entered the living room. She saw her family members with bags waiting for the driver to take then to the car. She wasn't sure she knew what was going on and why all the bags?
"The cars are ready to leave for shivamogga".The driver, Akash announced.
"Then, take all the luggage inside the car, we are leaving soon". Madhuri, Aadrika mother said and the driver nodded. He bent down to do his job.
"Mum", Aadrika called as she walked to her mother. "Are you guys going to Shivamogga?"
"Yes dear, remember it's the family vacation and this time we are going to Shivamogga. Are you ready? Where is your bag?" Madhuri asked her daughter.
"I'm not going on this vacation". Aadrika said, her velvet brown eyes were on her mother face.
"Why? it's a family vacation". Aunt Bhavini, Madhuri younger sister inquired. She and Madhuri were sisters, fraternal twins.
"Aunt, Mum, I have lot of works to do". Aadrika respond. "Have you forgotten that I have to summit my assessment tomorrow?"
"All her assessment is chocolate", Koel whispered to her younger sister.
"Everything is chocolate for her", Raja, Koel younger sister added and they chuckled.
"I do remember, but". Madhuri tried to make Aadrika come along with them on the vacation.
"Mum, Nai, I can't. I'm sorry everyone but I won't be participating in this year family vacation. Mum, please don't worry about me. I'll be fine, I can take care of myself". Aadrika said lightheartedly.
"Can you promise me you won't eat chocolate?" Madhuri requested.
"Oh no! Mum, I can't promise you that. You know I like chocolate and sugary foods are good for..."
"Don't tell me what is good for you, I'm your mother and I know you better than yourself. Do l have your word you won't eat many chocolate". Madhuri held her daughter arm and Aadrika face crumble.
"You know it's not fair". Aadrika muttered.
"Yeah, I know but it's the best for you. Please, take care of yourself". Madhuri said with obvious motherly affection.
"Madhuri, she is 21 and not some little kid you should worry about. We are already getting late".Aunt Swathi, Aadrika father windowed sister said. She was always a rude, sassy and sharp mouthed woman.
"Mum, just take care if yourself. Dev is here with me so I will be fine. Aadrika assured her mother.
"Alright, I'll call you when we arrive in Shivamogga". Said Madhuri as she pecked her daughter cheeks and pat her hair.
"Love you Mum", Aadrika said delightfully.
Aadrika went back to her room and sat down on her writing table to finish her story book. She was a student in the city college studying Literature, Languages and Writing.
She was the last child of the Sharma family, her father, Mr Iraj, is a successful business man. They has a multi millionaire clothes manufacturing company and they were wealthy people. Aadrika is the last child of her parent and her elder brother was Aadidev, shorten to Dev and he love and dote on her. The two siblings were really closed and call themselves "Twins".

Dev drives his car inside the mansion and stop at the garage. He got down form the jeep and throw the car keys at the valet boy. He walked majestically to the entrance of the big mansion and got it open. Dev went inside to find the living room empty and he knew his family has gone to Shivamogga for their vacation. Family Vacation.
Dev climbed the stairs and goes to his sister room. The door of Aadrika room was wide open and he peep inside to see her bent over a notebook with her pen in hand. Dev creep close to her and said a loud "Boo". Aadrika was startled and almost jumped out of her seat. She turn to face Dev and frowned.
"Hey, why did you frightened the life out of me?" Aadrika asked.
"I wanted to surprise you, sissy", Dev said smiling.
"I don't need your surprise this afternoon, but I need to concentrate on what I was doing". Aadrika told her brother, her voice sharp and smooth.
"I really want to tell you something", Dev lowered his voice to a whisper. "I have a good plan".
"Really?" Aadrika tuck a strand of her wavy chocolate hair behind her ear and lean closer to Dev.
"Yes, it's a plan for a business party". Dev told her.
"Business party, what a nonsense?" Aadrika fold her arms on her chest.
"Drika, it's not nonsense. Listen, I'm trying to get this business deal so please help me organize this party".
"When did I become a party organizer?" Aadrika inquired as she curved her small rosy lips upwards.
"Aadrika, look, I know you can do this". Dev place his hand on his sister folded arms. "I want this deal so I can work with Tara's Cosmetics".
Aadrika looked at her brother as if she was thinking. Dev was already a millionaire business man with his own Plastic Folding Company.
"Nothing goes for nothing, so I can make a beneficial deal with him". Aadrika thought inwardly and grinned.
"Hey! what's on your mind, tell me". Dev snapped his two fingers in front of Aadrika.
"It's gonna be a deal, that's...". Aadrika paused with a proud smirk.
"Aadrika!" Dev groaned and Aadrika chuckled. "Alright, what's this deal?"
"Chocolate, everything is chocolate". Aadrika grinned as she said her favorite word. She loved Chocolate.
"You and chocolate, did you have an alliance with chocolate. Hub?" Dev asked teasingly.
"Chocolate are the best things ever, now, do we have a deal? You are gonna buy me five box of chocolates".
"The whole of five! anyways, I would do according to your words".
"Wait, why are you having this party in Mom absence?" Aadrika asked as she raised her pencil arc eyebrows.
"You know how the family can be sometimes, this is my only chance". Dev stood up and straighten his shoulders.
"Do we have a deal, Dev?" Aadrika asked seriously, she has never jocked with a thing like chocolate.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm buying you chocolate". Dev nodded and began to walk towards the door.
"Whoopee! That's Dev, my brother!" Aadrika said gladly. Dev shook his hair and was amused. He was used to his sister manipulative ways.
"Dev!" Aadrika called as she returned to her book and pick up the pen.
"What's up, sissy?" Dev paused beside the door of Aadrika room and listen to her.
"Please, please, please, order dinner from the Italian restaurant for us to eat. Dev, I'm really starving".
"Yes ma'am", Dev respond, grinning as he strolled out of the room. His sweet little sister will never change.

"Hi Mum, I'm in the kitchen making breakfast". Aadrika said as she placed her iPhone on her ear and support it with her shoulder.
"Where is Aadidev?" Madhuri asked from the other side.
"He should be in his room taking a shower". Aadrika broke a egg into the glass bowl. She would make fish curry and pakora for breakfast.
"Hope everything is alright?" Madhuri has the worried motherly tone in her voice.
"Yeah, everything is normal. Tell me, are you enjoying the vacation?"
"Yes, Shivamogga is a very beautiful city. I believe you will like it here".
"Wow, then have a good time and what about Dad?"
"He is just busy but everyone is fine".
"Dad is always busy", Aadrika scoff and her mother chuckle.
"You shouldn't blame him". Madhuri made her voice sound serious.
"Of course, I won't blame him". Aadrika was now mixing the batter with a spatula.
"Since you are busy, let me drop the phone". Madhuri told her daughter.
"I would call you back". Aadrika said gently and kept her phone in her short pocket.
When she finished cooking, Aadrika served the food and sat down to eat with Dev. As they ate, she hand a list to Dev. Dev looked up after the read the list.
"How much do you need?" Dev asked
"Rs. 40,000", Aadrika answered as she ate her fish curry.
"Here is my card, use it to buy everything that's needed". Dev said as he gave her his plastic card. She took it and place it behind her phone on the dinning table.
"When will the party begin?" Aadrika asked and drank her glass of juice.
"By 8pm tomorrow, thanks". Dev told his sister smilingly.
"You are most welcome". Aadrika respond. Both sister and brother enjoyed their breakfast.
Aadrika went to the market after she got the money and bought everything required to organize the party. She stopped by a stall and was looked at a set of beautiful kangan (bangles)
"I can see you are falling in love with the bangles". A voice said jokingly and it sounded familiar. Aadrika turned and beyond, she saw Harini, her childhood friend.
"Harini!" Aadrika exclaimed and hugged her friend.
"Drika, what a surprise" Harini hugged Aadrika tight in her arms.
"Wow, my world, you look gorgeous". Aadrika inspected Harini dressing style. Her friend had changed her hair color from black to caramel brown and it fell straight not in it fussy curls.
"And is out that a compliment?" Harini asked as she crooked her mouth.
"Of course, when did you came back from Canada?" Aadrika questioned.
"Last night, I decided to tour the market today". Harini respond.
"Why didn't you call me, I was waiting". Aadrika pout and try to look angry.
"I'm so sorry". Harini held her two ears as a sign of apology.
"Apology accepted, there's a ice cream bar there. Let's go and get something cold, the sun is at it peck". Aadrika said and Harini nodded. Aadrika paid for the Kangan she has been admiring and they strolled to the ice cream bar.
Inside the bar, they sat facing each other and order ice cream. Harini choose a vanilla while Aadrika took chocolate.
"You still haven't changed, you always love chocolate since childhood".Harini said.
"You remember, I'm glad". Aadrika chuckled. "I thought you like strawberry ice-cream".
"Yes, I changed my taste". Harini spoon ice cream into her mouth twice. "Why are you in the market?"
"Dev is hosting a business party and I'm helping him organize everything". Aadrika answered.
"Speaking of Dev, I heard he is a successful business man". Harini said.
"Yes, he is very busy".
"I really miss badi maa". Harini told Aadrika.
"Mum and the family are in Shivamogga for vacation. I couldn't go because I has assessment to finish". Aadrika was enjoying the coldness of her favorite ice cream.
"You are in college, what are you studying?" Harini asked with interest.
"I'm majoring in Literature, languages and writting. This is my final year". Aadrika told her friend.
"Wow, so you gonna be a writer".
"Yeah, I'm writing stories for publication". Aadrika said with a smile.
"I'm so proud of you", Harini gave Aadrika a high five and both girls chortle. They enjoyed each other company and parted ways after exchanging mobile numbers.

Manhattan, USA. 21:15pm.
Shiv went to his wardrobe and got his biker black jacket. He donned his jacket and pick up his phone, passport and ticket.
Shiv looked through his bedside cupboards carefully for a printed paper and didn't notice his room door creak open and Ndihi, his mother came in.
Ndihi stood and watched her son searching for something until he bring out a paper.
"Shiv, where are you going to?" She asked and Shiv turned to face her. He fold the paper into square and kept it in the inner pocket of his jacket.
"Mum", Shiv walk towards her. "I'm flying out to Indian for a business party". He told her tenderly.
"Really, all the journey for a party", Ndihi was peeved and worried.
"Mum, this party is very important to me and the business".
" You doing everything just for the business, what about me?" Ndihi didn't look happy, she didn't want her son to fall into black magic. He was okay here in the US.
"Mum, try to understand. I will be back by tomorrow, sorry, but I can't disappoint Dev". Shiv tried to pacify his mother fears.
"You promise to return tomorrow, right?" Ndihi asked.
"Yeah Mum, it's a promise. Don't worry about me". Shiv touch her cheek gently and kissed her forehead. His mother was really precious to him.
"Take care of yourself, don't get into trouble". Ndihi advice and Shiv smirked and shook his head.
"I won't". He pecked both her cheeks. "Take care, I love you". Shiv turned to leave.
"Love you too, beta". Ndihi said and he nodded at her before going out of the room.
