Death's Game

In a quiet small town, there lives a girl named Lottie Shinigami, she lives with her family and is currently still 18 years old. Lottie is a very quiet girl and everyone took her as a shy girl because she was always the best in class they also call her a nerd.  But Lottie doesn't study at her own will, she's forced by her parents to study so she could one day pay their bills. First Lottie tried talking to them because she also has two older siblings but they never study and get good grades. "Spoiled!" she said to her parents. They looked at her and not in the way she expected them. "Now listen here Lottie, that's not how you speak towards your family!" her mother said. Her sister stands in front of her and says "You're nothing but a waste, it's because of you our family is dealing with hardships. You should be happy we let you even study, so you better make good use of it". Lottie burst into tears, she runs to her room and lays on her bed. She wakes up and looks at the time, it's 3:33 am. She gets up and through the window, she didn't know what she was doing but she felt slightly free than usual. It started to rain and she runs away towards the grass field. Meeting Death Lottie stands still in the rain, it felt great but then she started to cry. "Cry my child, let it all out". She looks back and sees a skeleton wearing a black coat and holding a scythe. "Who are you?" Lottie asked. He replied, "I am THE GRIMM REAPER, I have been watching you for some time" "Why?" she continues to ask. "Because you have a gift only some have, I don't usually do this for just anyone but you, I'd do anything. You have suffered a lot my dear, and I will help you" he said.  Out of nowhere, he created an umbrella and holds it over Lottie. "You'll get sick if you stand here in the rain at night," he said. "Why do you care?" she asks.  On his other hand, a yellow orb appears. "Here, drink this" as he puts it in her hands. Lottie takes it and without hesitation, she drank it. "What is it for?" she asks him. "That would be half of my powers to you, you may have your own gifts but with mine combined, you will be able to control your powers better" "Before anything else, here," he said giving Lottie a notebook and piece of paper. "What is this?" she asks. He replies, "In this notebook, you can find spells and in blank pages, you can write whatever you want. On the last page is a special page where you can write and communicate with me if you ever need help. And the piece of paper is our contract, when you get home sign it and you will be able to use the magic inside of you."  "Thank you, uhm what should I call you?" Lottie asks. "Just call me Grimm," he says. Lottie nods and was about to go back to the house. "Wait!" he grabs her arm. "Here," putting a ring on Lottie's finger. "What's this for?" she asks. "Protection, I have a lot of enemies and I don't want you getting hurt," he says then lets her go. Lottie goes up to him and hugs him; he blushed while looking at the other side.  When she got back to the house her family wasn't home...she goes to her room putting the contract and notebook on her desk. She rolls up the contract and reads it carefully, then takes a pen and signed it. Suddenly she felt as if her powers had awakened, she felt powerful, her hair grew a little longer, the tips of her hair turned red-orange. She walks to her mirror and her skin was smoother feeling her confidence growing.  Lottie spends her whole night reading the notebook which contained information.  Morrigan Witch Being the descendant of the goddess Morrigan, they have blood-red on the tips of their hair. There aren't many descendants and are quite rare. Not only are they very rare, but they are also the most feared and not one to mess with. It is said that they mostly work in small groups and some alone but it hasn't been confirmed since they haven't been seen for a long time.  Only a few were Morrigan witches but that was in the past and it became a fairytale. Now after so many years, the first Morrigan witch to exist once again and is of course Lottie Shinigami. She fell asleep on her table, quietly hearing the rainfall so peacefully.  Birds chirping, the morning sun shining through her small glass window, she rubs her eyes. When she looks outside everything seemed so different, her room the same but why was it so quiet so thought. As she walks out of her room, nothing was the same, the house was smaller and had this nostalgic magical feel. Where was she? she wonders searching for her family, but she couldn't find them.  Lottie hears a sound outside so she immediately ran and saw a person...who was he? She walks towards him when she was about to say something he turns around and smiled. "Good morning," he said. Lottie was speechless but she replied to him politely.  Lottie looks around and sees the beautiful small garden and vegetable garden, it somehow made her feel a lot at home. "Take a seat," he says gesturing at the chair with sandwiches and tea on the table. Lottie takes a seat and asks him, "Uhm...where am I? and who are you?" He smiles at her.  "How silly of me, my name is Jack. I'm the keeper of this house and student of the Grimm Reaper" he says while taking a seat in front of Lottie. "A student? But why am I here?" Lottie asks.  "Well, last time you signed the contract right?" Jack says. "Yes," Lottie replies.  "Since you're still kinda new he wanted you to live here and practice, we're about the same age only I'm a bit older but I go to school here. It's a magic school" he continues. Lottie couldn't believe her eyes, she always wanted to go to a magic school someday.  "So wait...this is actually Grimm's house?" Lottie asks. Jack nods cutely, "It might be hard to believe but trust me I was surprised at first too". Lottie looks at the sandwiches, Jack giggles and says "You can eat them you know? School will start in a few days so you got time to prepare, don't worry I'll help you along the way"  Lottie smiles, "Thank you, Jack".
