The Haunted Mansion

I can't blame you for hating me right now.  You've got to be kidding me. I want to crush your skull. Do you understand me? It's my f*****g best friend since primary school. You couldn't f**k around anyone else, but her? You are for sure, two peas in a pot. Just get out.     I wanted to end his life then and there. His f****d up sorrow and puppy eyes.... ah, the amount of rage that I had then... So this seems great. I am a 31-year-old divorced woman, with a career in the mud because my darling husband wanted an offspring to carry out his name and legacy. When did I lose myself? I had the degrees, the looks, friends, family and it all went to s**t when my cute hubby decided to fool around with my best friend.  I found myself after a nasty divorce in a one-bedroom apartment, working at a book store after busting my ass off in becoming a successful architect. Damn that hurt.  One gloomy afternoon the phone rang. Hey sis. How are you? I just made a cup of hot tea and I am trying to work my way up through bills and stuff. Good. I wanted to ask you something. Can you come up here for the weekend? To, you know, babysit the kids? Jeremy and I have to work 3 days in a row. Really?  I know it sucks, but come on. I am not comfortable leaving them with a complete stranger. Mom and dad are... In Ireland, figuring out our grandma' s situation. Yeah. I forgot about that.  Sis, I can relate to your problems really. But why not moving here with me? I mean Seattle is not at all New York, yet you can start fresh. Have you forgotten that my sweet hubby blocked all my resources and trashed me so no one on this Earth would hire me as an architect again? Yes, but listen. We have this flip houses' situation and Jeremy is always asking me about you. We could use some input from someone else... I don't want any pity. It's not about that Isabella. I want to help you. You are my sister.     While I was talking to my sister, my anxiety went through the roof. This was going to be my future from now on? After sleeping on the idea, I decided to head to Seattle and leave my present behind.  In a blink of an eye, I found myself in my car, leaving the Big Apple behind. I was about to take the test of my life and spend a whole week with my family, trying to adjust.  Hey, where are you? I just got into the car.  Ok, well drive safe and remember to take a break once in a while. I know. I have it all figured out, hotels and stuff, gas, food, and so on. Ok, talk to you soon. I love you. I love you too Anna.     It was just crazy to drive all this distance, but I was determined to make this work, to stop complaining, and be there for my family.
