CHAPTER FOUR
A Prey for any Predator
He was doing this to prove a point. I got a bit too confident, thinking he’d care about me but I was just being delusional. He was going to leave me here for anyone who was willing to hurt me or do something bad to me. I threatened him with revealing his secret relationship to the press. It was expected.
After a few dark minutes, cold water washed over my face and I groaned in discomfort. A waitress who was walking nearby saw me lying down on the floor and was trying to wake me up by sprinkling cold water on me. The ice-cold water woke me up a bit.
Loud music was still playing from outside. I was still in the private room where Kai Hadez had left me on the floor. After jerking a needle out of my arm.
“Excuse me, Miss, are you ok?” The waitress asked worriedly.
“I’m fine. I just need to go home —” I manage to say audibly.
“Ok, Miss. I’ll get you a taxi. What is your address ?” The waitress asked, getting her phone out to order a ride for me.
I don’t even have a house. Where will I go? I thought to myself bitterly.
How low have I fallen?
Just help me get to my car. I said as my body temperature increased rapidly. I felt so hot. And every touch was like an extra cooling shot of some really good drug that I couldn’t get enough of.
“But you’re not fit to drive. Let me help you.” The waitress begged.
“Ugh Just leave me alone.” I push her away. My vision is fully blurred as I go in and out of consciousness, fighting to stay awake and aware. I managed to crawl to the door and get on my feet, using the walls for support.
Somewhere in the back of my mind, I knew she was only trying to help but my ego was hurt by Kai Hadez’s rejection, and because of my ex-best friend, I no longer have a home to sleep.
A man was watching me. He was wearing a high-end light ash shirt and trousers, shamelessly ogling my exposed thighs revealed beneath my sundress which was now sticking to my body from sweat and looking particularly sinful under the flickering lights.
I stumble and a strong pair of hands grab my arm. It was him.
“Miss, did you break up with your boyfriend? Are you looking for a way to hurt him or just a night to forget about him ?" His creepy voice asked and I caught the foul smell of whatever he was smoking.
My heart skipped a beat in fear, but I forced myself to remain calm. If i angered him, he won't let me go.
"I'm sorry, please let me pass," I said softly.
When I was clear in the head later, I would hunt him down and make him pay for daring to approach me. I promised myself
The man in the ash shirt stood in front of me again, took a hit of his foul roll and blew out the smoke in my face. I held my breath as my eyes watered.
"You won't last long with the drug, come back with me, I will take good care of you." He whispered in my ears like a dirty secret. His fingers brush my arm. Although the effects of the drug make his touch cooling and urgedd me to get closer, i was still conscious. I fought the urge and take his hands off me.
God, i’m so hot.
"It's none of your business, go away!" I dodge to the side, planning to go around him.
"You have a spicy temper, I like it."
The man blocked my footsteps again, lifted my delicate chin, and said in a slick tone, "I wonder if you're just as spicy in bed!"
As soon as he finished speaking, whistles and frivolous laughter filled the surroundings. My hands itched to slap him, but they were so heavy to lift.
"Go away!"
My consciousness became increasingly blurred, a surge of heat overwhelmed me, everything around me seemed to be getting farther away, and all the voices seemed to come from a distance. I tried my best to push the man in front of me, but he easily pulled me into his arms, rendering me motionless.
"Miss, I told you that you wouldn't last long." He whispered against my ear shells.
They say the body is your resolve’s worst enemy. Right now, my body's insatiable desires slowly conquered my reason. My eyes frantically searched the room for someone, anyone, Kai Hadez, literally anyone who would have mercy towards me. If eyes could speak, mine would be filled with pleading. I didn’t find anyone and Kai was not around either. He had left me alone. Turned his back and walked out. I was stupid. I didn’t know who i was messing with. He showed me.
At this moment, I was like a drowning person in this villain’s arms and there was no hero in my story. It was a horror movie with a bad ending.
The drug's effect was intense, my body was nearing its limit of endurance, becoming very heavy. My mind, which had just been a little conscious, was now blank. I didn’t even know who or what i was. I just needed to be touched.
"Baby, let's go home." That’s the last thing a foul voice said to me before i was completely gone.
The people around watched everything, also with an attitude of not caring about others and just enjoying the show. Everyone should know that in a place like this, drugged girls was a common thing, and no one should offend others for a stranger! I had lost status. And no one truly cared about the other here. It was a lawless place for the elites of the city. Everything that happened here would not see the light of day. I knew it very well. I knew my fate was sealed.
