A Reject

Siin was mute for  a while staring blankly at Ramlah before he finally mustered up his courage and began to speak.

" Not so far from what I have said earlier. I must confess I feel elated by your admiration. Just some months back I was lonely pauper who could bearly feed . Now I am very much comfortable in all ramifications of life. Ramlah I appreciate the fact that you were able to speak out your mind , you really are brave and I like brave people. But I don't think I am good enough for you. There's always more to me that meets the eyes and a loving soul like you deserves much more better than the any good I can ever bring to the table ..I "

" I want you like that . You know how had it was for me to bring myself to saying this to you right.Please don't hurt me like this Siin. Just say you love me and I will leave you alone forever. Please...." Said Ramlah as her worrds ran into emotions and emotions into tears.

" Oh Ramlah. I wish you knew what I am. Im not just any other human. I will bring you nothing but pain. All the good I do for you . I do it out of nothing but love. But love you would grow to know has it's boundaries. Please don't cry like that. You make me nothing but sad. " Said Siin in an emotional tone as he sat looking at the beautiful teary eyes of Ramlah.

" Please Siin. Don't do this to me. You are kind and understanding. This is not you. " Said Ramlah as cried out the phase her worst fears had brought forth. I'm lonely and vulnerable. I need a man in my life. I need you Siin. Why don't you feel the same way for me. Am I not beautiful enough for you ?." She cried and her sobs became deep and louder.

" Ramlah. the present is called the present for a reason. It's very much alright for you to hurt now. Take it as a gift for a happier future. You just too young to understand." Said Siin as he looked away from the gaze of Ramlah. Even he couldn't bring himself to stand the pain her face bore and he felt bad that he had to make such a fragile being like Ramlah suffer so much.

" I will grow. Oh Siin. I will grow. Just give me a chance to grow with you. I have never felt this way for anyone in my life. It hurts so much to watch you reject me. " She cried as she derailed the succinct flow of tears on her cheeks with the sides of her palm. "

" Ramlah. I take you like a kid sister. As long as I live .no harm would befall you and you shall never lack a thing. But I'm very sorry that what you ask from me is not something I can offer. My heart already belongs to someone else. There is no honor in lying to family. You are my family and I must be honest with you." Said Siin and looked to the ground to avoid Ramlahs pitiful gaze. There was nothing else she could say to convince him. His last words were the hay that broke the camels back as the notion of not being good enough for him made her bitter and Sad. Another lady who was much beautiful than her had snatched what her heart desired the most and it made her hate herself the most.

" Someone else right." She said amidst her deep sobs. Siin was silent. He felt sorry for her but felt he was helpless to situation as it was better for her to find love in another place. His heart only beated for Kaltumi and the feeling he had for Ramlah was that of a brother for his sister. Ramlah sat before Siin and her Son's great from loud to low and soon she was done crying. She sighed in deeply and cleaned her face. She noticed her hands were brownish with powder and pictured how awful her face may have been from the crying and cleaning. She reached for a handkerchief in her maternity bag and wiped her face thoroughly before wiping of the lipstick on her lips to . All Siin could do was watch in silence.

" Thank you very much Doctor. I appreciate the fact that you told me the truth. I had to purge my mind . I feel very much better now. Kindly pass Mahir to me . We will be on our way , never to rery to where we are rejected." Said Ramlah in a sober tone that had militating tendencies in it. Siin knew of the Thin line theory , which stated that penchant when rejected was mostly to transform to hate.

" Do you hate me already Ramlah. " Siin asked and for the first time since returning from the realm. He had become emotional by Ramlahs sudden change.

" I do not hate you. I just want to leave your space to you. The lucky lady in your life won't be Happy if she knew I was here. Please , pass Mahir to me. I want to leave now." Said Ramlah with her face still bent to the ground.

" Okay. Here he is. I am sorry I ever had to make you go through such a pain .I feel ashamed of myself but one day you will realize I meant well for you. I wish you happiness in all your endeavors.May your adventures always yield treasures for you my dear friend." Said Siin whose heart felt broken as he handed Mahir to Ramlah.

" Thank you. It was great talking to you . I really feel much better. I needed to know what you think about me and I will have live with that. Goodbye Doctor Siin." Said Ramlah and headed for the door.

" Ramlah Wait. " Said Siin as he sprang up from his Seat. She paused but didn't turn back.

" Yes Doctor Siin." She said in a sober tone.

" Don't say goodbye. We are still family. It brings forth a feeling of loneliness to me.please." said Siin in an emotional tone.

" Okay then. See you some other time Doctor Siin." Said Ramlah and exited the office. All Siin could do was stand in and Marvell at how fast the elements of human behaviors could change. From getting excited to getting nervousness, from smilling gleefully to crying bitterly all this had happened to Ramlah within a short period of time and Siin felt pity for her. He was comforted by the fact that he spoke the truth to her and did not take advantage of her innocense by falsely flowing with the tides of her emotions.only to end up breaking her heart and causing her pain in the future. He waved his head slowly , took a deep breath and Sat down on his seat to fully commence the work of the day.
