LYNA :Regaining sanity

Chapter 13

"Think about it" was the last thing he said as he made his way inside school I on the other hand just froze at my spot I was so confused about what just happened and What on earth did I just hear him say? I literally stood there until the bell rang I quickly got my self together and went to class. When I got to my locker Elsa was just getting her stuff out from hers which was beside mine.

"Where are you coming from " she asked as she locked her locker and leaned on it waiting for me to finish up.

"I was Urmm...behind you " I said simply as i locked mine and we made our way to class.

"Really? I can see that Ham is a slow driver then and what did you guys talk about that took you guys so long hmm.."she smiled and poked me and I blushed even tho we didn't talk about anything worth blushing for.

"We didn't talk about anything seriously the drive was boring" I said as well entered the class and took our seats which was far behind and loved it so much my seat was by the was even tho it was second to the last and the last row was empty i still enjoyed my seat as she was about to ask more questions, Mrs Krystal the principal entered the class with Ham behind her looking as serious as always and the noisy class went silent almost immediately she stepped a single foot in.

"Good morning class" she smiled brightly and everyone murmured good morning back.

"Today we have a new student which most of you know who is Abraham Jenkins. Why don't you introduce yourself properly" she smiled at Ham who with a smile greeted the class and I could hear murmurs like "omg he's hot" and "he's back ? " and also "wasn't he the guy Lyna drove in with?" Which pissed me off the most like why can't they mind their business but thank God the school is highly against bullying or harassment if not I know a lot of girls would've torn me into pieces which made me laugh internally I didn't want them to think I've lost it which I'm close to . I tried my best not to look at him as he made his way to the empty seat behind me like why this my eyes where glued to the unopened text book on my table just not to think about what he said outside. The rest of the day went in a blur with the teachers teaching what I don't even understand and me trying hard to but end up giving up because most of the times I just read it at home instead .I pick key points from the teacher's explanation and put it in my words which works every time. Lunch was same as always just that this time we had two new members on our table I guess you know them. I tried real hard not to look at Ham and not to talk too much but that was impossible with Carter and Carson beside me. Carter kept poking me and Carson kept stealing my fries and I kept hitting them upside the head and we were all laughing at their stupidity.. Ham was busy talking to other guys on the football team who followed Jake to my table classic cue the eye roll. Sometimes I will notice him looking my way and I'll try not to make eye contact with him and he'll smile and keep talking to the guys and I'll just distract myself with food. After lunch we went for more classes which I literally slept through. When the closing bell rang, i was so happy and i packed my books in a hurry to get out of class but the front door was choked up so I decided to wait for the class to clear with my head on my desk. I was dozing off when I heard the annoying sound of someone dragging a chair beside my table and the familiar scent made me to keep my head on the table and pretend like I was still sleeping

I didn't want to talk to him now this last class which was literature drained my energy I just needed sleep and rest and food and sukana and kakashi please.

"So you're gonna act like I'm not here?" Well duhh.... He said very close to ear my body shivered at the soft sound of his voice but I kept my head down and I didn't answer him I thought he was gonna stop talking but he just sighed and kept talking.

"Look the deal here is you act as my,fake girlfriend just to make my parents shut up and ill keep my mouth shut" this made me open my eyes and raise my head as i turned to face him and he was not smiling which means he was serious.

"Wat do you mean" I asked slowly which made him smile.

"Well my mum and dad are on my neck to get a girlfriend according to them ,they want me to settle down because not that I want to but they want me to take over the company when my,dad retires" huh? Not that I didn't understand what he said I did but I was still confused as to how a girlfriend is involved.

"So what does that have to do with a girl friend?"

"My mum thinks a girl will make me stay put and make me stop partying blah blah the point is I just need you to act as my girlfriend in front of my parents only"

" but what if our friends ask us why I agreed?" I knew they will ask a lot of questions.

"You can always tell them that you have a crush on me so when I asked you, you couldn't resist" he winked and I smiled.

"Hell no " I chuckled.

"Ham I don't think this can work I mean everyone will know.."

"Do you prefer everyone to know you're a brutal killer" he smiled darkly that really got me and hit a nerve but I tried not to get enraged because he was right I'd rather everyone think I'm dating this gorgeous sexy s*x god and have girls give me evil dark eyes than have everyone know I'm a fighter I'll never call myself a killer.

"Fine I'll do and I hope you can handle me" I smiled as I got up picked my things and walked out of class with him behind me I walked to his car and waited for him to open it. As he unlocked it, my hand and his reached the handle at same time the connection made me freeze and uneasy.

"I'm a nice and romantic boyfriend so I'll be opening the doors" it was sweet but the way he was close to me sent chills down my spine I didn't even answer because I know I won't be able to speak so I just let him open and I got in he closed the door and got in as well and started the car.

The drive was not as boring as the last one because we spoke a little. I asked him how he wanted it to go and when it was gonna end but he didn't answer my question with straight answers all he said was he'll tell me when it's time. I even offered to get him a girl that could fill in as his fake girl and will be thrilled to do this with him but he said he trusted me that's why he wanted me to do it and besides I'm the only person that could do it for free because he has what could ruin me for life . It actually felt good hearing him say how he trusted me but I didn't smile just not to make him feel special or realize my undying crush on him. When we arrived at my house their was a black Mercedes and other cars parked in the drive way I just hoped they belonged to my mum since she's about to marry Almanzar I guess he bought her cars honestly nothing surprised me anymore since the day she told me she was marrying him. Which means that my car was all mine again So he dropped me in front of my house because I didn't want my mom to see him and ask unnecessary questions like who he was and why he was dropping me off. As he drove away I walked into my house thinking of what to eat and what to watch then sleep immediately after eating but as i got into my house, I heard voices coming from the living room and as I go closer I realized it was my mom and some women I've never seen in my life with a lot of magazines scattered everywhere on the table My mom immediately noticed me and smiled as she got up to meet me in the kitchen the women just kept doing what they were doing not caring to look at me rude much.

" Lyna dear Welcome back these are my friends and we where just talking about the wedding and other stuff as well" she smiled brightly I didn't have the energy to say anything So I just smiled at her and made my way to the kitchen and noticed there was mac and cheese I helped myself and went to my room as I was eating I went through my text on my phone and noticed some text from Ham So I read them and I was so confused as to what he was saying the text read;

« Hey just letting you know that tomorrow we will be hanging out with friends just so that people can see us more together and When we announce that we are dating people will not be surprised and this means that we have to be always around each other and it also means we will be going for practice together isn't that's amazing yay *smiling emoji*»

I got myself into this So I had no choice I just replied a simple reply telling him ok just to make things easier for me because I know people will actually ask a lot of questions especially our friends most especially Elsa. We texted some more with him telling me how he should come pick me up and how I'll start flirting with him in public and how he should be flirting with me and public which was his idea not mine obviously I then asked him about his parents and when we'll meet them and he did not reply and went offline and I just plugged my phone and went to sleep.
