When I got home,the lights where off and the windows were still down which means my mum wasn't home yet. I gladly used the front door to get in. As I got into the house I went straight to bed I was too exhausted to eat anything. I couldn't even sleep because I knew that even if I tried to Elly will surely wake me up from sleep. So I tried my best to stay awake until I 'mistakenly' fell asleep.

"Psst... Lee hey... Common wake up" I could hear someone whispering from the window. "Common lee open up my thighs are getting sore" I groaned loudly as i got up from my bed and staggered to the window. She let out a breathe of relive as she dropped from the window looking all pale and hungover."So.. What happened" I asked as I sat at the edge of my bed glaring at her for waking me up from my sweet slumber. "Oh no what happened to your face "she asked as she tried to touch it "don't touch it please and I mistakenly fell face down in the bathroom as I was taking a shower and don't try to change the topic " I shrugged as I laid down face up on the bed. "Well sorry I can't relate and fine I'll tell u everything what happened"she beamed at me with her eyes popping oh gosh my best friend is in love "go on " " Jake is amazing. Okk when we met at the restaurant he said he changed his mind that he wants to take me somewhere fun. We ended up in a concert and it was epic I had a couple of drinks I mean I was tipsy but I wasn't high. We ended up in his room only God knows how and we made out for a long time omg it was Amazing I mean that dude can handle a girl's lips and let's not talk about my boobs ouuu girl he kept rolling it in his fingers as he kept kissing me with one hand on my back and the other doing the deed until his hand slipped down to my.." "OK OK I get it the make out session was hot and sexy u don't need to tell me everything babe " I said as I stood up to go to the kitchen and make my self coffee since it was already 8:20 and I know I won't sleep anytime soon and thank God today was a work and school free day so yhup I'm gonna be in doors for the whole day. She followed me downstairs as I made for the both if us I didn't even need to ask her if she wanted some because I already knew she'll need it. "gurrl you need to shower you reek of alcohol and s*x" I cringed at he thought of my best friend snuggling next to Jake eww..

"_yeah I mean I did have s*x"she winked as she downed her coffee and made way to take her beauty bath which I know will take like 5hours *I'm not exaggerating*.

I pulled my legs underneath my butt clicking through all the channels hoping I'll find something important to watch but I didn't find any. I sighed in defeat as I got drowned in my thoughts. Well my mum isn't back yet nothing surprising I mean some days I don't see her for over a week. let me tell you a little about my mum. Well,she's an alcoholic and she's a mess. She has been that way since the incident with my dad which was one of the main reasons I moved to Oaktown. My mum was a nurse before we moved and she ended up squandering all our money on drugs,parties and alcohol. So I had to join the underground fighters Club of oaktown to get money to be able to pay tuition and other needs thank God I don't need to pay rent because this house was given to us by my mum's late elder sister who just moved to another country we were very close before but now she has entirely cut ties with my mum. Well her whole family and my dad's family kinda did.

I've tried talking to her about it but we always end up fighting or she ends up walking out of the house without saying anything so I gave up I mean this has been going on for years now and I just had to stop caring and I'm used to it all the name calling from people around keeps me updated I know weird right. Sometimes people call me the gold diggers daughter or the w***e's breed or the drunk woman's child well I'm used to it already and it actually used to get to me until I met Elly she made me realize none of these people's words matter. Since then I've been more confident and nothing gets me again.

"so what's up with you " Elly said as she plopped down beside me smiling widely "well nothing's going on just Sam old boring life "I snuggled into the couch as I laid my head on the armrest " oh stop with the bullshit Lee i know you have Something going on you just don't want to tell me "she rolled her eyes at me as she snuggled next to me " I'm serious my life is very boring Elly and don't let me start with the fact you stayed in the bathroom for 10 hours " "oh please it was not up to and I didn't stay I had my beauty bath " she said as she gave me a little push "like there's any difference" I snorted.

Elly's phone vibrated and she happily jumped to sit up right and she began to smile as she typed "guess what?!" she screamed happily "please let it be something important"I sighed and rolled my eyes at her childishness "Jake's inviting us to his party and we are going yay!".she squealed happily as she laid down on my back as she began to day dream oh my God what has this boy done to my best friend "please get off me " I sighed as I pushed her off me she fell with a loud thud and I couldn't help it I began to laugh. She was so confused and it made me laugh harder."Lee that was mean " she pouted as she stood up ready to attack me. 'click' the front door was unlocked. We both froze in our spots as my mum majestically walked in with a broad smile on her face.

Elsa has never officially met my mum I mean she's seen her get home drunk but before we wake up my mum is already out with who ever she goes out with. "hey girls... wait Lyna who's this ?" she asked pointing and squinting her eyes at Elsa "she's my friend mum Elsa remember?" I forced a smile as she made he way to the staircase "well nice to meet you my daughter never has anyone over I'll be in my room " with that she walked up the stairs to her room and as the door clicked, Elsa turned to me with the same expression I had on my face. " that's your alcoholic mum?"she asked totally confused "yeah and could you be any louder" "I'm sorry um just shocked that's all she looks uurrmmm... normal.."she said trying hard to filter her words "I know I'm shocked too she never gets home early and she is sober "_ i said still shook by what I saw. My mum doesn't come home in the day time and she never returns sober and most especially she hasn't smiled in years there was something really wrong. I heard footsteps and I knew it was my mum coming down the stairs she went straight into the kitchen "we are out of pasta.. hm" she said to her self obviously as she kept rampaging through the fridge "mum there's left over pasta from last night I think " I said more like a squeak."OK then thanks I'll just microwave it " she smiled at me I mean smiled .

"OK I'll be in my room " with this,I dragged Elly upstairs still shocked and confused.
