LYNA :Regaining sanity

Chapter 8

I couldn't help but smile at the sight before me I mean the guy was hot sexy and cute as hell in everything he does even leaning on the freaking door damn I couldn't help but lick my lips at the thought and hoped he didn't see me. He started walking towards me and his cologne surrounded me as he stopped beside me .

"Did he hurt you" he asked me in a very deep sexy voice and something inside me jumped and giggled yhup the little 10 year old in me did that.

"Nah I'm good and I think we should leave" I said as I st started walking towards the door because I really wanted to leave but then I noticed Ham wasn't moving so I stopped moving too and then I saw him walking towards the drunk dude who was laughing at only God knows what and I know that pissed him off but trust me it pissed me off even more.

"urmm Ham.." I called his name which made him stop and He gave the drunk a look over again and walked me out and I sighed in relieve the truth is I would've asked Ham to beat that drunk i***t to a pulp and I would have loved it better if i did it my self but then I knew that it might trigger His memory and I didn't want to cause a scene at my first party in months and be the talk of the town I wanted remain in the shadows I wanted to remain Elsa's shy friend. As I kept walking behind Ham, I stopped as we approached the bar and everything around me began to irritate me and that's when the urge to go home came to me and my only ride home was Elsa and I know she won't be ready to go so I noticed Ham was busy talking to some guys so I just went out front and sat alone in a corner on the grass watching people catch fun and laugh loudly and I rolled my eyes and scrunched my face in disgust as I saw a couple of kids throw up in the grass. I really needed a smoke because of the thoughts going through my mind I just remembered my mum and the fact that I was supposed to meet her new man and I'm not trying to be judgemental but who will love to date or even marry a woman like that she was a complete mess and now she suddenly wants to pull herself together and get married wow what a big step. Even though I feel bad for the guy and his kids if has some and well I'm still gonna be me so yeah.

"Do you need a smoke?" Ham came from nowhere and because I'm used to Elsa popping out of nowhere all the time,I didn't jump but this guy always knew the right time to come and his presence was always accompanied by an aura of peace and calmness.

"Thanks" I took it and took in a,very long drag and exhaled calmly I closed my eyes to feel it more I really needed this and I gave it back to him.

"You look a bit stressed and you don't look at ease at all are you sure you're OK I mean that guy didn't do anything right " Ham asked looking genuinely concerned as he dragged and my heart melted at this yes I've had quite a number of crushes and boyfriends but I've never felt this way before I mean sexually and emotionally attracted to someone I would love to call it lust but I know it's not lust and I can't call it love either.

" yeah I'm fine I'm just tired and I'm not feeling the party anymore and I'd love to leave and have you seen Elsa?" I used this opportunity to ask because I really wanted to go home have a bath and sleep.

"I think I saw her and Jake take one of the rooms and I don't think they'll be out anytime soon." He wiggled his brows at this which made me giggle but sighed at the end when I realized that I won't be going home anytime soon.

" but I can drop you off you know just tell me when you need me because honestly you don't look like you want to leave anytime soon" with this,he adjusted and sat beside me on the floor and closed his eyes and took a drag of his blunt and I watched him exhale and it was damn sexy.

"I want to go now" I said without looking at him and my eyes closed.

"Alright then go to the parking lot in the house not outside you'll see a red Camry just wait there let me get my keys" He then left and I made my way to the parking lot and I saw the car immediately I looked straight because it was the only red car there and damn there were a lot of cars looks like they are really loaded I mean he's Jake's cousin. As I got to the car, I laid on the side and thoughts came flooding into my head and I couldn't help but pounder on them. School is going to soon resume and I know I haven't saved up enough to pay for my tuition and this means only one thing I have to fight in the last man breathing tournament which I've been trying to avoid and I can't ask Elsa or will I say I don't want to ask her yes she's my best friend but I don't want to be liability at all and then I heard footsteps approaching Ham came quicker than I thought.

"So where do you leave" he asked as we where both seated in the car and he pulled out of the parking lot.

"Just at floral avenue not far from here you take a turn around"

"OK I know the place I grew up here" he chuckled and I sunk into my seat in embarrassment with a light blush creeping up my cheeks. I didn't know he grew up here because I've never seen or heard of him so i assumed he was new I'm town.

"Sorry I didn't know" i managed to speak facing the window which was opened and I appreciated the wind which hit my face gracefully.

" so I guess you moved here not too long ago since you don't know me" he grinned sheepishly.

"No..I mean yes.. I moved here some years back and I've never heard of you so i thought you were new in town" i said as I didn't stutter much oh God I mean here I am in a car with the guy of my wet dreams sorry I mean my dreams and he's taking me home oh my.

" nice I love the fact you haven't heard about me" he smiled graciously just as I was about to respond he pulled over the sign board of floral avenue.

" so where do I go from here"

" it's the third house straight" I said pointing towards my house and he drove there and made a final stop. The lights weren't on so i guess she isn't around.

"Thank you for the ride" I smiled as I got out and locked the door behind me but before i could take a step i heard his door open and I turned around and watched him get out of his car and smiled as he walked towards me.

" now what kind of gentle man will I be if i let you walk to your door alone huh?" He smirked and I shook my head at this and started to walk without saying a word and He followed me to the door. When I got to the door i stopped and turned to face him.

"Well, thanks for walking me to the door good night" I smiled waiting for him to leave.

" well that's rude won't you invite me in?" He pouted and I chuckled.

" it's late and I really need to sleep"

"Fine then since you're throwing me out good night" and in a swift movement he pecked me and walked to his car. I was so startled and I couldn't bring my self to move so i just stood there till i couldn't see his car move away. So I just went inside and took a quick shower I couldn't take that bath I planned considering the fact that I might or will fall asleep in the bathtub.

As I got to bed, i couldn't help but smile at the events that happened this night and I quickly texted Elsa telling her I got a ride home and happily fell asleep with a smile on my face which hasn't happened in a while.
