Chapter 1: Red Moon
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the city, Tyler's bustling workday came to a close. Though labeled a workaholic by many, Tyler had a peculiar habit—he never worked into the night.
His colleagues often questioned this apparent contradiction, wondering why someone so dedicated to their work would choose to call it a day when the world was cloaked in darkness.
flashback
A young boy walked around a forest eyes wondering every direction his little mind wondering where such beauty come from he was told not to be out deep in the forest but he got lost trying to find some cloves his mom sent him to take ,after not finding it in the garden the young boy set his eyes on the beautiful forest his curiosity peaked. He had always been fascinated by the creatures that lived there, often spending hours observing them and sketching their images in his notebook. Today, he had decided to venture deeper into the forest than ever before.
As he walked, he noticed a stream that he had never seen before. The water was clear and calm, reflecting the sky above like a mirror. He knelt down to take a closer look and was surprised to see his own reflection staring back at him. But it wasn't just his face he saw in the water. He saw the image of an animal superimposed over his,he slowly looked back in fear reasoning that's why he was told not to go deep in the forest there's wild animals looking back he saw nothing but the vast tree stretching till down the stream,he quickly looked back to the water and he could still see the image of a wolf,he strained his eyes and realized it's a pup with confusion he looked down on his legs finding nothing of significant he returned his eyes to the image.
He blinked, thinking it was a trick of the light, but the image remained. He saw the face of a wolf, fierce and strong, staring back at him. His heart pounded in his chest as he looked into the eyes of the wolf. He felt a strange connection to the creature, as if it was a part of him.
Tyler reached out to touch the water, but the image disappeared as the surface rippled. He sat back, stunned. He had always felt a deep connection to the animals in the forest, but this was something different. It was as if the forest itself was acknowledging that connection.
He sat by the stream for a long time, contemplating what he had seen. He felt a sense of peace and belonging that he had never felt before. He knew then that he was meant to protect these woods and the creatures that lived within it.
With confusion laced the young boy set his way home trying to figure how he came here but d
Panic rushed in Amanda's face after seeing the drawing his son made choosing to question the boy himself he was told never to set foot in the forest ever again and to never leave his room on a full moon ever since although strange the boy choosed to follow his mother's advice"
His family was a different story. They were protective, almost to a fault. They never let him out on full moon nights, always insisting he stay indoors. Tyler thought it was just an old family superstition, a quirk that he had learned to live with. He never questioned it, never pushed against the boundaries they set for him.
Until that fateful night.
It was a night like any other, except for the moon. It was a red moon, a rare occurrence that filled the night sky with an eerie crimson glow. Tyler had always been fascinated by the red moon, a fascination that his family seemed to share. But their fascination was tinged with fear, a fear that Tyler never understood.
That night, as the red moon rose, Tyler felt a change. It was a subtle shift, a feeling of unease that crawled under his skin. He tried to ignore it, tried to focus on his work, but the feeling persisted. It was a primal instinct, a call from the wild that he couldn't ignore.
As the night wore on, the feeling grew stronger. It was a pull, a force that was drawing him out, drawing him towards the red moon. He tried to resist, tried to stay within the safety of his home, but the call was too strong.
He stepped outside, the cool night air hitting his skin. The red moon hung low in the sky, casting a crimson glow over the world. As he looked up at the moon, he felt a surge of power, a rush of energy that coursed through his veins.
His heart pounded in his chest, his senses heightened. He could hear the rustle of leaves in the wind, the distant hoot of an owl. He could smell the damp earth, the fresh night air. He could see clearly in the dark, the world illuminated by the red moon.
And then, he changed.
His body convulsed, his bones shifting and changing. His senses heightened even more, his body becoming stronger, faster. He felt a rush of adrenaline, a primal instinct taking over. He was no longer Tyler, the manager. He was something else, something more.
He was a werewolf.
His family's protection, their fear of the red moon, it all made sense now. They had been protecting him, shielding him from the truth. But now, the truth was out. Tyler was a werewolf, a creature of the night.
And his life would never be the same again.
This was just the beginning of Tyler's journey, a journey filled with challenges, danger, and perhaps, even love. But for now, he was just trying to come to terms with his new reality, trying to understand his place in the world.
And as the red moon shone down on him, he knew one thing for sure. His life was about to get a lot more interesting.
