(Short A/n: just to let you know, these last three chapters are all based in the same hour of the first day of school. Also, sorry if its boring. It might not be to you but it kinda is to me. Dont worry, this chapter begins the juicy stuff ;) )
Knock!
Knock!
Knock!
Somebody had knocked on the door. Zeke hoped and prayed it was Cameron, he was so tired from getting up early. All he wanted was a nap...maybe he could take one when Erin left to drop the kids off?
Zeke was finishing up on Alayahs room when he heard...
"Hey, Cameron. You bring us food? The breakfast we had wasn't good, kinda hungry, y'know?" Come from Erin.
~Downstairs~
Cameron was a very handsome 17 year old. He was black (like everyone else in that household) he had smooth dark skin and carmel eyes that would make anyone drool. From the tight T-shirt he had on you could tell he had muscles. His biceps were just around medium size. Perfect, he never lifted his shirt. But he had abs, about 6 of them and he had an innie. He was an angel on earth.
Let's not forget he was Zeke's best friend.
So that's a plus, at least Zeke gets a little flavor in his life ;)
(Pic of what Cameron looks like right here....its a shirtless one, sorry, it's the only one i could find)

(Don't ya just love 'em? Anyways back to the story)
Erin stepped aside and let Cameron in. He had bags of groceries in his hand.
He went to the store.
Explains why he's come...later than usual.
Cameron moved to the table and set them down neatly on the table, making sure not to knock anything off or over because he knew how Erin was with things she bought,
He also knew how Erin treated Zeke. He would put her in her place, but, he liked staying there. He didn't want to be rude and hurt her feelings either. He was treated like family in the Barnum's' household, even though he had a mom. She was bitter, she blamed him for his father's untimely death. She was...clingy, but not in a 'I want to be around you' kind of clingy. It was a 'I want to make sure you don't go out and have fun because you need to suffer for some reason' kind of clingy.
He didn't want his mom to hate him, he loved her, unconditionally. It wasn't his fault his father was too invested in his magic life than his own.
There's also this other thing, his mother, she wasn't too fond of the elemental race because of a little incident she had 10 years before she met his father.
Little Elizabeth was running around with her older sister, Gabby in her home village.
It was a very sunny day out, in the middle of summer on July 15th. Everyone was out on their front lawns, barbecuing and having fun. No one would have ever known if there was an elemental living among them. Everyone was too friendly with each other to even care.
Except for the Till family, Elizabeth's family disliked anything that didn't come from Earth, for some reason. It's like their entire family bloodline HATED extraterrestrials. Elizabeth and Gabriella's parents were very hesitant with letting the girls outside the yard. They had a tough and lonely childhood but at least they had each other.
All until today,
Elizabeth's father, John had gotten into an argument with their neighbor,
Mr and Mrs Oceanico. Strange last name, everyone could admit that. They just assumed they moved from somewhere out of the country.
They never thought they would be elementals.
They never thought they'd go so far as to kill a human.
Elizabeth's father, Alexander, threatened the Oceanicos' with a gun. Apparently, John Oceanico had broken into Elizabeth's house the night before, looking for some expensive jewel.
Alexander believed the Oceanicos' wanted to steal the jewel and take it back to their country to sell it for millions of dollars,
Of course, they were wrong
But that's not what Alexander believed.
Next thing you know, John Oceanico had used his powers to lift water out of the water fountain to drown young Elizabeth.
Although, her sister, Gabriella was fast, and cunning.
She was sneaky.
She hurriedly jumped infront of her sister to save her from death. In doing so, Gabriella drowned in water.
All the neighbors watched and tried to stop John Oceanico from killing the girl but he wouldn't budge, he was too strong.
This is why you never threaten an Elemental-Atlantean. It's tradition to kill the youngest daughter of the other person in Atlantean culture, to show authority and tough skin.
Poor Gabriella, passed away at only 12 years old.
The Oceanicos' moved away the night of Gabriella's death. The whole neighborhood tried to comfort and be as nice as they could to Elizabeth's family but it was no use, they were broken.
The Till family already hate anything out of this world....
But now, now they hated the elementals the most because they took the thing that was very precious to them.
They felt....HATRED
(A/n: Trust me, it gets juicy juicy, this flash back was definitely unplanned. I had something else planned (lemon) but I thought it was too early in the story. BTW, chapter 1.4 will still take place between 7am-7:45...)
