Zeke grabbed the French Toast out of the oven before they would be eating burnt toast for the most important meal of the day. Alayah, Xavier, and Erin came down the stairs. All dressed and ready for the day. "Goodmorning, everyone...come come, sit down. I made your favorites; French Toast and bacon" "French toast and bacon?! Awesome!!" Xavier screeched, he loved when his older brother would make breakfast for them. It was like heaven for them. Their parents NEVER made them breakfast like Zeke did, whenever they did make breakfast, it was only for them. Never for the kids, it's why Zeke always made breakfast after they left for the society of magic. He just cared, Erin said it was his job. Like he was responsible for everything we did. Pffttt..... Yeah right, Xavier believed he could take care of his every move. He didn't want his big brother to have to track him all the time, Xavier thought Zeke would want a break sometime, y'know? To get some fresh air. Erin said he didn't deserve a break because he was supposed to be taking care of us all day. He knew that so therefore he didn't need one.. But doesn't everyone need a break? To stretch their legs? Release all the pent up tension? No....at least, Erin thought not. Erin thought the people in charge didn't DESERVE a break because they knew what their job was before they got it. She basically didn't think they were human enough...maybe. "Uh...I decided to make french toast and bacon. To celebrate the first day of school...." Erin lied. She had to keep a good rep around here, to maintain status as leader. "Liar," Zeke thought. He hated when Erin took credit for things that she wasn't supposed to. Zeke had made a face, an annoyed face at Erin. She didn't notice. He turned around from the oven and crossed his arms, then he crossed his right leg over the left one. It's like angry energy was BOOMING off of him. He had tried to talk to Erin about taking credit for his work multiple times but, every time, she called him a liar. Put him in his place as caregiver for the family and went on with her day. All he wanted to do was run away, he was so depressed and tired of this. He NEVER got a break. Every night he only got about 5-4 hours of sleep, and now that school started he had to stay up later to pack bags and help them with homework. Don't forget he had to wake up early at 4am to make sure the house was clean which took him about 2 hours. Erin needed the house to be spotless, literally. Then, he had to wake Erin up and beg her to wake the other two up just so he could make breakfast for THEM. Brother of the year? I think YEAH. Usually, Cameron would visit early in the morning to help Zeke out a bit. Sometimes, if Erin was away, they'd hang out for an hour or two. Zeke appreciated Cameron so so much. No one ever helped him out. He was considered a blessing to Zeke. Alayah and Xavier ran to the table, picking up the food and stuffing their mouths like starving pigs. Zeke grabbed a plate and plopped down on the couch, he grabbed the remote and switched the TV to 'on' He flicked through all the channels until he found one he liked. 'Personal Fantasy' Erin walked past the TV with Xavier and Alayah's backpacks. She stopped RIGHT in the middle. She looked at Zeke, as if he was doing something wrong. She dropped the bags, her eyebrows curled in an angry fashion. "W-what...what are you doing?" Erin asked him, confusion and angry in her voice. Surprisingly, she was mad. Usually, she wouldn't get mad this early in the morning, but, the future is never set in stone "What does it look like I'm doing? Watching TV." Zeke responded in an annoyed tone. He was missing his show for her lecture, again. She scoffed like she had just been told off or something. She scoffed as if she was a parent and Zeke was her child. She scoffed like Zeke had disrespected her. "TV?! Shouldn't you be cleaning their rooms and straightening the beds? You don't have time for TV." Erin yelled at him. Zeke sighed, he wasnt even allowed to watch TV at seven o'clock in the morning. Alayah and Xavier watched the entire thing. They watched as Erin crumpled Zeke down and make him work like a slave. And you know what, they didn't do a thing about it. They just let it happen in fear for their own shame. To be honest, they didn't even really care. At least, Alayah didn't. She had went back to stuffing her mouth before the argument was even half way done. Looks like another sibling didn't care. Well, Zeke still had his 2 other brothers; he didn't see them a lot though, he was hoping they'd help, but, they were all the way in France. They didn't have time for him. Did they? ~Upstairs~ Zeke entered Xavier's bedroom, attitude levels high. He began picking up all kinds of science objects and tools then, putting them all in a nearby box. He carefully placed everything in it in a very neat fashion just to make sure Xavier wouldn't complain to Erin, again. Last time he got in trouble with Erin. That definitely wouldn't happen again. Zeke closed the box. All his other gadgets were in an open container besides the box. All he had to do now was straighten up his bed and he'd be done. He was sure Erin didn't want him to vacuum this early as it would make way too much noise. Something she definitely didn't like was noise really early in the morning. It's one of the reasons why she tried not to get so mad But, As they say, Fate's a cruel thing. Zeke felt like the cruelest of fate lived in his own house.
