The transformation hits like a violent sunrise inside my chest. Light erupts from my sternum in a blinding rush that scorches the air around me. It pours outward in spirals and ribbons, each pulse brighter than the last. My body jerks with every shockwave. I cannot breathe. I cannot think. The only thing I feel is power that does not belong to any human shape. The cavern answers with a roar. Stone trembles beneath the force of it. Dust bursts from the ceiling. The roots that once reached toward me now splinter, crack and fall in shards of silver bark. The whole chamber becomes a storm of shaking ground and shrieking wind.
