The creature roars as my wolf slams into it. The sound rips through the clearing, a violent clash of shadow and silver light. My wolf hits the creature with full force, her claws sinking into the slick, unnatural mass of its torso. Silver sparks erupt from her paws, scorching its shadowy skin.
