I take a small step back , my chest deflating as I heave out a short breath . Malice shines in Kai’s blue eyes , his nose flaring . “Skye ,” He grinds out , taking a step forward , his stride purposeful , and haunting . My insides turn . My eyes are wide as I look at him , shivers wracking through my body . I have to reject this man , I have to spit out the words and deny him . That’s what he wants me to do . That’s why he hasn’t given me any information yet . His intentions are clear , the way he’s staring at me . He wants me to do it now . “Don’t ,” I rush out , raising my arm . Kai tilts his head to the side , strands of his hair tumbling to the side and he raises a brow .
