Prologue
Julian Age 12. Julian stood in front of the house, watching his mother enter the car. She said she was going to the salon, and young men were not allowed there. He had cried, grabbing on to her dress; she used to take him with her before. His mother was beautiful; her blue eyes and black hair were a direct replica of his. She was his best friend. She stood at the door and waved at him; the driver held it open. A huge smile was on her face, while his was soaked with tears. He didn't want to be left alone. “I'll be back soon, baby,” she said. Blowing him a kiss goodbye, she entered into the car, and the driver turned on the ignition. The loud explosion that followed threw him off balance. He fell to the ground, a loud ringing in his ears. A maid came out, crying loudly, and grabbed him, he struggled and got free from her. What was that sound? Their neighborhood was quiet, his mom had selected it, stating it was a nice place to grow a child. His mom. Julian ran, his little legs carrying him to the debris of the car. It was in flames, the black limousine was barely recognizable. His mother was gone. Julian, Age 14. Father stood behind his big desk, hands on his hips, while he sat down, looking at his fingers. It had been two years since the death of his mother, and his father had just remarried his secretary. Lily David. She didn't come alone, she had a son, Harrison. He was three years older than him and had bullied him every time they met. His blonde hair and brown eyes haunted Julian's dreams recently. “You are going to Italy,” his father spoke. He stared at him in shock. His father was from Italy, but he rarely went there. All his family has moved, so it wasn't necessary. “You're sending me away,” Julian whispered. His father was a successful businessman and owner of Liberty Properties. He could send Julian to another of their houses in New York City, but he chose not to. “You need training, Lily said so,” he answered. Lily. Ever since she came into their lives, his already cold father did everything his new wife asked. Now it included sending his son away. Squaring his shoulders, he looked at his dad in the eyes. “Very well.”
