"What the hell is this?"
Dante shoved his phone in my face, the screen showing a photo I recognized immediately. It was myself and Cara on the balcony, my hand reaching out to the back of her ear, our bodies close enough that anyone that saw the picture would draw exactly the conclusion the headline said.
"BLUE MOON ALPHA'S SECRET AFFAIR WITH THORNE'S POISONER"
My stomach constricted and my heart jumped as soon as I saw it. The photo was taken weeks ago and now the same picture was everywhere on the internet.
"Where did this come from?" I grabbed the phone, scrolling through the article. It was everywhere—posted across multiple news sites, shared thousands of times already.
