Chapter 92: Sorry, I want a break please.

1067 Words
The moment I finished the duel, Hanami immediately went straight to me with a mic that's recording everything. "Congratulation for OneSec for winning the duel. How are you feeling?" I can hear that she's not really that disappointed with me winning. After all, it's either me or Rio. Two of the guy that she favored the most in the game... So, it's fine if Rio lose. I stared straight at her and immediately said just one full sentence that immediately ends the entire interview session. "I'm obviously ecstatic to win the entire thing, but as expected, the battle took a lot of my mental capabilities to think properly due to how much thinking I had to do just to fight Fangaztaz, due to that matters, I'm signing off for the night." That's it. That's all I said to Hanami before immediately logging out... I immediately get out of the system and immediately dashed straight outside... "Huft, huft, huft!" With a bad feeling brewing in my stomach... I eventually get out from the hotel and immediately lay down on the grass. "Fuck... I guess I did push myself a bit too much..." Although the battle that Rio and I had is short... It takes so much micro movement rather than macro movement. So it takes a lot more energy just to fake each other out... "Yo... I guess you're sick too huh." Not too long after my condition is better... Another running steps can be heard. It's obviously Rio. He immediately laid down next to me to calm himself down. "It's not normal to give 150% of your ability in a game." "True. I have been warned to not get overly worked because the system is not capable of reading such percentage. There's still some small delay that our body has yet to get used to. But just very small. That's why we're sick like this." It's hard to understand how much such small delays can destroy our performance... I cannot help but just stare at the starry skies. "You bastard...." "Huh? What now, Rio? Why are you suddenly calling me a bastard?" "You are not serious at all in that duel, aren't you?" "Huh?! What the hell are you on about? Of course I'm serious!" "Shut your mouth. I know how powerful you are, Shiro. I know that you only use half of your true strength. You can cancel out my Jade Buster with your normal move, aren't you?" Aaah, for f**k sakes. This is why I can't happily play with friends especially PVP. "f**k off. What makes you think I am not serious? I'm one hundred percent serious all the time I faced off against you guys. I ain't gonna disrespect my opponent like that." "Then, why the hell are you not using everything?" "The same reason why you didn't. We all know that if we started to overwhelm each other with every single thing that we have. You have the upper hand. After all, You are a portal gunner. I need to get close to you to effectively use my power. That's a mistake for me if I do that. To me, less is more at that fight. Don't delusion yourself with me not giving everything I have as me not being serious. After all, the only reason why I fight you is to find out who is the true king." "... I guess it makes sense." I immediately stand up from the ground and then stretch my body around. Too many cracks to count that comes from my body... That sounded a little bit bad... "Of course it is, dumbass. Just because I'm not giving everything. Doesn't mean I'm not serious. In fact, when I'm in the zone. I uses my skill less and less. There's nothing better than anyone getting surprised by my movement after all." With that words, I left him alone and immediately went to my room to rest up. I can't say that I'm proud of that performance against Rio. I would like to have a more convincing victory over him to properly say that I'm the True King of the game. But since he is my rival in every game... It's natural that I cannot beat him that easily... I open the door to my room and Michi is already there. "Heya, Congrats on winning! I couldn't get a hold of you the moment you're gone." "It's fine Michi. I just need some extra break in between, you know?" Without waiting for anything. I immediately jump to the bed and lay down next to Michi. "It's natural for you who has yet to perfectly grasp everything that the system have to offer yet huh." "It's a prototype. The system is perfect. But it's just need some more personal calibration to be able to perfectly sync my movement so that I don't get that painful jitters in my head." "Amazingly, Hanami did make it in her first try without further calibration. So, I guess it's good?" "You can say it like that. Hanami did a fricking amazing job to be able to minimize the amount of jitters that I get. She did it without further calibration from me." There's still a few things wrong with the sensor in the system. But the resolve to that is just us making fewer useless move. It's our fault that we go overboard with every single movement we get. I chuckled it off and blame myself for the fact that her system make us sick like this... "I'll need to pay Hanami a visit tomorrow to discuss about my own personal system." My useless movement is needed if I want to f**k with people's head though. Player like Rio and Dion would benefit greatly if I didn't waste my movement. But against monster, the system is more than perfect to go. I take my phone and immediately texted Hanami about my intention. Of course, she replied with 'I can get you that immediately' which is wonderful news... So now, instead spending the night partying with the others. I decided to spend the night partying with my Michi instead. Since, it's a good way to bust off some pressure that has been building up inside me for the past couple of weeks... Tomorrow, I will have a fresh start and are ready to do everything in my power to perfected the art of VR MMO.
