Chapter 98: Royal Guardian...

1055 Words
When I reach my party's side... I realize that, the royal guardian they've been fighting against. Is someone far stronger than Ewing... I know that because when I enter a certain range, I can feel, Death. Like, physically, I feel something just slashing through my soul and killing me once and for all. That's how powerful his mere presence are... Of course, all of my party member are down. No surprises. We all thought that they're going to fight some goons that's blocking our way. We are half correct. Because, even though they did fight it. They also fought the other Royal Guardian... I see the Royal Guardian that's defeated every single person in my party. He's sitting on the sky with one leg up like a dad in some random coffee shop and on his shoulder is a long and slick white gun. "... I thought you would defeated Ewing a lot faster than this. I was hoping that you're going to realize your power and came straight to me. But, it seems like Ewing make a fool out of you before you truly know what's going on..." The Royal Guardian immediately threw some harsh words toward me... Of course. It makes me feel very wary toward his existence. So wary that I'm pre-activating Godspeed and ready to back away instead of blocking. "Your posture does not escape me. If Ewing can see your trajectory, I can see the future. I don't need to give you some stupid clues for you to not realize and die later on. I would rather win with the opponent knowing what my power is. Since victory tasted better, when your opponent are serious and you're playing with him." ... Alright. Whoever this Royal Guardian is... I don't like him... I swear, I'll kill this motherfucker even if it's the last thing I did! Quest Dispatched: [Kill the Royal Guardian of Coggs Villa.] Royal Guardian of Coggs Villa is consisted of two different being. The Knight and the Marksman. Defeat both of them to gain a skill that each one of them possesses! With the defeat of those two, you will be able to gain access to the Royal Capital of Coggensville. Now, that's something that I didn't see coming. A quest in the midst of a big battle like this. Meaning that if I lose, I would lose much more than the permit to go inside the Royal Capital. But on the other hand, if I win, the reward will be much more greater. I pretty much understand why things goes this way though. The game designer probably thought that the ability to see the future is very broken and it's worth to give it to someone who can kill the Royal Guardian. Because that means that they're worthy of the power... Alright then, I'm not going to complain given free power like this. But just know, if you give me this power... You're going to regret it for the rest of your life... "Gidora." "What's your---" ?! What the f**k? That's not something that I expect... I was just about to ask him about his name. But he already answered. I guess this is what he means by seeing the future huh... Very terrifying. The timing is just too perfect... I'm worried about my attack... Will it land properly? "Are you prepared to see none of your attack is going to land on me?" "... Yeah. I'm prepared for the worst case scenario. Which is I beat you senseless but in the midst of losing." I cannot see myself losing though since I'm such in the mood right now. How fast can my mood turn, to be honest. One time I'm very nervous, the other I'm very excited. Literally two end of the spectrum. Yet my mood can change in an instant... Anyway... I twirl my daggers around like usual and immediately throw both my King's Dagger... "..." I can see that Gidora is not impressed. So, I immediately chased after the daggers and immediately thrust both straight toward his eyes... "Can you see the future even if you can't see the present?" Of course, I slip my attack somewhere in this exchange. But Gidora realizes. He just backed out slightly and then shot his gun down. It hits the flying Kunai... I grinned and then he immediately turn around. Intense Suffering was triggered and started slashing air. Gidora just uses his gun to push himself up from the slashes... That's when I immediately chased him down and grab his collar. He sees it coming as well, but immediately pointed his gun toward me... "Phantom Overdrive!" As I'm grabbing his collar, I used Phantom Overdrive to swirl his face around. But, he's very decisive. Instead of shooting me on the face and faced a certain death... He just ripped his shirt up and falls down... Then he takes aim... "Drop Dead." He pulls the trigger and immediately, something pierces through my neck... Cutting through Ninety percent of my HP... Not waiting for any moment to give me a rest... Gidora immediately jumped back up and then pointed the gun at my head... Shit... I don't know what to do against an opponent who can see the future... "... Are you really going to stay there and accept that you're going to die? Such a boring game then." Gidora unnecessarily said something like that... Of course, it hits me like trucks since I didn't even have any thought of giving up the moment I lose that much HP... How did he think that I'm losing and wanting to quit? That's not the type of person I am. I'm going to see the end of this battle even if it's the end of me. Especially since the quest are here. It's going to be hard to even attempt to broke my mental and get me to quits... But that's when my head decided to think of something nice... Something super nice that I feel like it's the key to defeating Gidora once and for all through his Future Vision. An ability that cannot even be compared to anything in the world. Altering the result of a certain stuff is very important piece of his ability to win a fight... Well then, I guess it's time for me to win.
