Nillan’s hysteria comes as a shocking surprise that pierces through Rain’s heart. Even with her whispered pleas the boy remains inconsolable, his tears gushing freely like a dam with broken banks. “Hey…hey sshh buddy. Its fine don’t cry Nillan,” Rain murmurs pleadingly placing soft kisses on his face.
She’d expected such response from Killan and seeing this from Nillan instead made her heart overflow with love. She’d finally earned an endearing spot in the boy’s life and this made her cry alongside Nillan. For a single day, a lot of tears had been shed, too much crying that deeply aggrieved her.
Nillan clasps onto Rain tightly, “I…I…don’t want you go Rain…I don’t want you to leave us again!”
