The bleak lighting flittering into the room ushered in dawn but the hanging LED pendant light on her side offered her more illumination. Karey watches Rain sleep in her arms. Her lover so peaceful and beautiful with her soft snores highlighting the etherealness of the moment.
She angles her head and moves closer to plant a chaste kiss on her lover's forehead. The citrus scent of Rain's hair invades her nose and Karey nuzzles even closer seeking the stability and warmth that Rain's proximity promised.
