The knock on the door is followed by his secretary walking in. He didn't have any pending appointments, that he was sure of. Yet William knew Clarissa only interrupted his document review sessions with valid reasons.
"Do I have an urgent meeting to get to?" he skeptically asks. Maybe he'd forgotten that too was a possibility. Clarissa never forgot, that's why she served as the best secretary and receptionist.
