Episode 1
It was barely bright enough outside but I could already hear my mom and dad arguing again, this has been going on for days since I turned 17. My mom was in support of me staying home and going to the school close by, but for some reasons my father thinks it’s dangerous I have heard a few ruffled sentences of me either being in danger or them being in danger. My parents never argued like this but seeing that I was the reason for it made me sort of sad but I would never show them that I cared about anything that was going on. I didn’t mind turning a blind eye to their discussions about me because I didn’t really want to get involved in their mafia s**t and all. I mean it only makes sense that they were in the mafia because what was all the safety for? Yes I get that they are among the top 3 richest families in our country, but not a single soul apart from my parents and a few trusted guards knew I existed.
I was about to let them continue their fight until I heard the sound of glass shattering and the door slamming shut, I knew it could never be my dad so I rushed down to see that my dad’s hand was bleeding my mom was nowhere in sight. He might have tried to pick up the glass my mom broke and then ended up hurting himself, I didn’t really bother much because in my family wounds never lasted. My father jokingly told me bed time stories of how he and mom made a deal with the devil centuries ago so they would live forever in all live times, not that I believe it cause my dad don’t look anything older than 40 or even less. My mom on the other hand never aged a day since I have known her, it was weird but she has a lot of skincare in her drawers so I think that was her secret.
My parents were blessed with all the beauty in the world, while I on the other hand look like an underage boy who is yet to go through puberty. My dad had a very piercing green eyes which I can swear I have seen change color from time to time, my mom’s eyes where very light blue it was so transparent you could see through it. I on the other hand had a very round black eye, it was so black it almost covered all the white part of my eyes a lot of people said it looked weird, they called me crazy names but I didn’t actually mind because my parents loved me the way I was. They taught me never to seek approval from people and that was a very beautiful lesson that I would never unlearn.
Deep down I knew that the fight today was going to end everything, I knew a lot of changes was going to happen but I didn’t know what it was. I helped my dad clean up the broken glass on the floor and before I knew what was going on my dad had already left for work. That was how it always was, my mom and dad would leave me alone in this big house and I would just kept wandering up and down. If I am not watching a series I am eating, and if I am not doing either I would be sleeping. When I entered my room to get changed I noticed an envelope on my side table, it was normal for my dad to leave envelope with cash for me before leaving but something about this one felt different. When I opened the envelope there was a note that said I should go shopping and a card attached to it.
First of all I knew that I looked like an under aged boy but did he really need to make it that obvious? I loved shopping for clothes it was one of my best things to do, but that means I would be needed someone to go with me. Just as if on cue Jared knocked on my door, he was like one of my favorite guards around. He was really cute but I alone could testify to the huge biceps under his suit, he just smiled at me when I opened the door and told me that he would be waiting for me at the main hall or sitting room whatever it was called. I quickly dressed up and made my way downstairs when I got there my ride was already waiting for me with Jared sitting at the front sit I was good to go.
We went around the mall specifically the male section for under aged boys mostly because I didn’t like wearing female clothes my worst color in the world couldn’t be worse than pink. It’s so bright and screams pick me! What happened to blue, purple, black… emphasis on the black because that was my best color of all times. Black helped me blend into the crowd, it helped make me invisible, it made it had for people to notice me, and it helped scare children away plus my round black eyes that made me look supernatural. My friends at school always told me that I could be a half demon or something, we did a lot of researches but we came up with nothing at all. Well I don’t know where this friends are now, they sort of mysteriously disappeared and I also had to leave school for some reason I can’t remember.
When I got home that I suddenly started packing my things, I had about 5 boxes packed already when dad knocked on my door he didn’t go in or maybe couldn’t go in, for some reasons nobody could enter my room not my father, mother, or anyone else. It was like there was some sort of barrier, I pretended I never noticed for years. I also pretended not remembering them moving me from room to room and then trying to enter without it working. They could only enter my room if I was tired, sleeping, or not around. My dad didn’t say much, he only said something about having an early morning flight which was supposedly mine to catch. He just said something about it being for the best and for the better good he said he loved me and then he disappeared like he always does.
I didn’t sleep much because I was already awake by 5 am the helps took down my bags as I got ready for my flight, my dad was nowhere to be found which I didn’t care about. He was literally mailing me to who knows where in the middle of nowhere, and I was going without asking questions because I needed a change urgently. The house was already feeling too small and I felt like one of this days I will blow everything up. During the 12 hour long flight I just wrote, slept, ate, slept again. Jared was the only guard with me, the others stopped at the airport but Jared just had to stay. When the journey was over there was a vehicle already stationed in front of the airport, the drive to the school was about 2 hours and when I got to the school I was feeling jet lagged. I needed my sleep more than anything. Jared helped take my stuffs to my room while I first had to find the principals office to get my schedule.
The school had a lot of seniors who were back from the break which they had, there were few fresh men around but I could still locate some of them. Principal Galmount was nice on her own front, she apologized about my accommodation, she said the good rooms were already taken and in other for me to be comfortable she shifted me to the senior block. According to her it was more of an apartment with 2 rooms each so that I would be able to enjoy my personal space. I was glad that she understood that I wanted a place of my own with little to no human interaction I knew I might have to cross parts with my new roommate but I wasn’t hard to get along with.
When I got to my flat I noticed the place looked somewhat empty like no one lived there, but something told me that my roomie was around. I could hear her heartbeat from the other side of the house, the sitting room was well furnished but it looked like it was rarely used. The same goes with the kitchen and the restroom but I knew someone was there probably sleeping. I entered my room and closed the door, my bed was already made I didn’t know by who but I knew it was arranged. I just lay with my back facing the bed contemplating if I should knock on her door and greet her or if I should just listen to some music.
I never got to do any of the two because I slept off and the next time I woke was from the knock on the main door. I walked up to the door forgetting I looked like s**t and that I had a roommate, before I got to the door the person knocked again and just before I opened the door I heard my roommate scream from inside her room that the person should f**k off. I was kind of startled when I heard her scream but at the same time I didn’t blame her. It was kind of annoying being disturbed especially in the middle of a nap. When I opened the door I didn’t see anyone at first, but when I looked into the hall ways I saw a middle aged woman walking away. I felt bad that she spoken to that way, but she had already left. She left a paper on the ground it contained my schedule from tomorrow and she wrote something at the back that said that my roommate was s**t.
I was not in the good girl stereotype, I understood that my roommate was not nice or at least she wanted her peace of mind. I can definitely stand up for myself if I was in an uncomfortable situation or if I was in a situation that seemed like bullying. I would curse at people I didn’t like and gossip about people I found interesting, but I can’t just be rude to people whom I know are very much older than me. I haven’t still seen my roommate, I didn’t have any idea who she was or what the hell she looked like but I think we would be good friends.
So according to my schedule I had an orientation by 11am, I think seniors might be there though I have no idea how they did things here but it was really giving old fashioned. All I needed to do now was find a place to eat and I had no idea where to go. I had a map of the whole school but guess what? My worst subject in school was geography so I had no idea how the f**k I was going to find a restaurant. So I just had to do what I have been avoiding for the whole day, I knocked on her door but there was no response so I knocked again and before my hands met the door to knock again, the door was swayed open by a f*****g beauty.
