Everything seemed normal after high school for Elvis and Elvie.Elvis and Elvie got married to each other after completing their high school studies. These two got married thinking they were in love but after a year of their marriage, Elvis realized that he was only obsessed to Elvie. But on Elvie's side she really loved Elvis it was not obsession towards him. Elvis was in love with Ellie his high school friend who he later found out that she was leaving and working in California in her dad's modelling agency. And when Elvie found out that their marriage is near the gates of ending she decided to come up with the plans to keep it last. But no matter how hard she tried everything got worse because Elvis was no longer interested in her. Elvie always kept on pretending in the crowd that everything is alright even while it's ending she kept it inside. One Monday morning Elvie was seated on their bed, a message popped up on Elvis's laptop and she decided to check it out. It was a message from the Evans modelling Agency ,"A message from the Evans modelling Agency, and that too for a job application acceptance" Elvie read out loud wondering...... but before she could finish , Elvis shouted , 'what are you doing on my laptop !' and he grabbed the laptop from her hands. "I know I shouldn't have snooped, but when a message popped up on your laptop while you were in the shower, I couldn't help myself. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something important that needed your attention." Elvie said in a low tone of guiltiness. But Elvis just stormed out of the room as he didn't want to hear anything from her, she was left standing in the room alone. Elvis decided to go in the study room as to read the email, on reading he exclaimed, his voice full of excitement: "Thank you Lord, they accepted my job application! I'm flying to California tomorrow morning, Ellie... our love story is far from over. We'll get to re-write our own happy ending, just the two of us.'' But on the other hand in the bedroom, Elvie was crying her eyes out "No, no, no" she whispered, her mind racing. ''My greatest fear has come to reality. Elvis is going to California to meet Ellie again... and I know I'll lose him forever this time.'' But after some time Elvis came back to the room and decided to pack his clothes, he found Elvie seated on the chair of the dressing mirror just next to the closet . She eyed him warily , "What's with the suitcase you're packing?" she stated, her tone flat." Are you going today?'' she asked with a smile. "Don't bother yourself with my schedule'' he sneered. ''Whether I'm going today, tomorrow, or the next day, it's none of your freaking business.'' he replied rudely .Elvie's smile never wavered, her eyes sparkling with warmth as she asked, "Hey, Elvis, want to grab dinner with me after you finish packing?" Her tone was light and carefree, as if she hadn't even registered the biting words he'd just spoken. It was as if she had deliberately chosen to ignore the tension, opting instead for a cheerful obliviousness."Ugh, no thanks. I'd rather eat garbage than share a meal with you right now. Just leave me alone, Elvie. Stop trying to act like everything's fine when it's not. You're just making it worse." Elvis spat out the words, his eyes flashing with anger and disdain." And I've got better things to do than play nice with you." added Elvis.Elvie's smile faltered for a moment, her eyes clouding with a hint of hurt. "Okay, Elvis... I understand," she said softly, her voice tinged with a subtle sadness. "I just wanted to share a meal and some conversation... I didn't mean to upset you further." She paused, her gaze drifting away, "I'll give you the space you need." Despite her efforts to remain positive, a faint hint of disappointment and hurt lingered in her words. With a heavy heart, Elvie nodded to herself and quietly exited the room, leaving Elvis to his packing. She had already discovered the truth - his flight was scheduled for the early morning hours, a stark reminder that their time together was rapidly dwindling. The silence that had settled between them now seemed almost palpable, a tangible manifestation of the emotional distance that had grown between them. As she retreated to her own space, Elvie couldn't help but wonder if this was the beginning of the end, or merely a temporary farewell. The uncertainty hung in the air like a shadow, casting a melancholy gloom over the once-warm atmosphere of their home.Elvie returned to the room, her footsteps echoing in the silence. She found Elvis zipping up his luggage, his movements efficient and detached. The air was thick with unspoken words, the tension between them almost palpable. She stood there, her eyes fixed on him, her heart heavy with emotion. "I guess you're all set, then," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper. Elvis nodded curtly, his eyes avoiding hers. The distance between them seemed like far worlds apart and a river with streams apart like gen
