Chapter 10A distant humming echoed in Daniel’s ears, slowly pulling him back to consciousness. With his head pressed on the cool glass of a car door window, Daniel surmised he had been unceremoniously dumped into the back seat of Paulo’s car. He pushed himself upright against the soft leather seats of the interior and rubbed his aching head.
