Nate's absence from school had been a talk before but the second day of it and everyone was speculating what could've happened. Only very few getting it right.
"I heard Nate was in a biking gang before." I'd heard one girl say in the morning, when I was hiding out in the bathroom not to go to homeroom too early. "Maybe he finally ran off with them."
"Did he drop out of school to focus on the celebrity life?" I heard another guy say as I was putting my things into the locker and I shook my head. The way people were obsessed with someone else's life.
"I heard his grandmother was sick and he's taking care of her." I don't know where the petite girl in pigtails heard this but it was nice to hear something accurate for once.
