Arielle's POV
"Are you still going to deny it Belinda?!"
Luna Jacinta's voice echoed in the great hall of the execution chamber for rebels, traitors, and criminals.
"Mum!" I screamed in pain as I saw my mother forced to her knees with her hands tied behind her back.
"My daughter couldn't have done that, Luna..." My mum gasped. "She's a good girl. She couldn't have done such an immoral thing..."
"Mum, what's going on?" I screamed and struggled to get the Beta's who were now holding me to release me to go to my mum.
"Mum!" My mum didn't answer, she didn't even dare to turn her head towards me.
"Arielle, you've finally come ...." Luna Jacinta smiled, her bluish eyes looking at me with narrowed eyes, as if she was thinking about how she was going to kill me.
"Luna Jacinta, what's going on here?"
"Let her go!!!" She ordered the Beta soldiers behind me and they obeyed.
"Come here!"
I took a few steps forward, approaching the throne Luna Jacinta sat on.
"Arielle..." Luna Jacinta crossed her arms over her chest.
"Is the money I gave you as your and your mother's wages not enough for your needs?"
I blinked a few times, still not understanding what was going on. And why Luna Jacinta was treating my mother like a traitor.
"More than enough, Luna..." I answered softly. Even though my answer was a lie. The alphas paid me very little, just enough to eat. I could never even buy new clothes because my mother never had enough money.
"Is that true?" Luna Jacinta sounded incredulous, I could tell she doubted my answer. Or perhaps she doubted the worthiness of the wages she gave her servants.
"Then why did you sell your body to rogues and other wild wolves? And humiliate this entire pack? Don't you realise what you've done, Arielle!"
I gasped in disbelief. Who told Luna Jacinta this lie?
"What do you mean, Luna Jacinta? I have never sold my body to anyone!" I replied firmly.
"You know very well what I mean, Arielle." She raised her voice angrily and I felt all the blood in my face draining out.
"I have plenty of evidence that you leave your pack house every night to meet up with people who hire your services as a prostitute. Do you have any rebuttal to that?"
"please, forgive my daughter... Luna."
" Mum you don't have to ask for forgiveness for something I didn't do!"
"Shut up!" My mum screeched at me.
"I'm not a prostitute, Mum."
"Oh, you're not?" Luna Jacinta smiled wickedly.
"Then tell me, Arielle... What exactly are you ?" Her cold eyes looked wickedly at my mother.
"Henry bring all the evidence and witnesses here!"
"No!" my mum screamed.
"You can't prove it, Luna Jacinta!" She cried hysterically.
"There is no proof! You must be wrong!"
"Bring them here!" Luna Jacinta shouted at Henry and one of the beta warriors carrying some sort of box stepped forward. Those Betas pulled out a picture of me while Liam and I were having sex.And strangely it wasn't Liam who was there but another man who I didn't even know.
"No this can't be!"
"Luna Jacinta, I beg you to allow me to meet prince Liam."
"What business do you have with my son, servant?"
"Call the witnesses here!" Luna Jacinta ordered her beta again. Not long after, the man in the photo entered the C
chamber.
"What's your name?"
"Simon De Lucca, Luna."
"Do you know this girl?" he asked the man while pointing at me.
"Yes, I know her..." Unexpectedly the man I didn't even know now claimed to know me.
"Luna Jacinta, I don't know him! He is lying!" I shouted raising my tone in denial, then got up from my knees before the Betas approached me and forced me back to my knees. They kept me tied and unable to move anymore.
"He's lying!!"
"Let me see his picture," Luna Jacinta ordered while looking intently at the man in the photo, whose name apparently was Simon.
When she finally finished looking at the photograph, "I will give you one chance to admit all your mistakes, and I will be kind enough to reduce your mother's punishment for not being able to educate you properly."
"I...." A lump formed in my throat and the world started spinning once again. But instead of the darkness, I could clearly feel the heat burning on my skin. I tried to move to take a breath but it turned into gasping.
I was choking on my own spit.
"We are a pack that upholds morality, and chastity. You know what the punishment is for whores and murderers like you?" Luna Jacinta smirked.
"Arielle."
"You must choose between honesty and lies, Arielle. Choose right now, or your mother will suffer as much as My husband and I as the leader of this pack..."
"I... I will confess everything."
Luna Jacinta nodded at Henry and he let go of my wrists and they fell on the floor next to each other. I quickly stood up and took a deep breath before running to where my mom was still kneeling on the floor. I kneeled on the ground next to her.
"Mom, please listen. I didn't do anything bad! It's not what you think! I swear! Please believe me... " i hissed to her, but she pushed me.
"You are not my daughter anymore!"
"And don't fuckin touch me, Arielle!!" my mom glared at me.
"Mom I'm telling the truth-"
"Enough of your drama, now tell me the truth and admit all your mistakes!"
"Before my patience runs out!" Luna Jacinta shouted.
"I still have other witnesses, mens who have f****d you and paid you. You really are the bane and shame of this pack, Arielle. So you'd better stop lying and just confess."
"Bring them all in!" I gawked at the sight of more than six young men they had called as witnesses. One by one they were questioned by Luna Jacinta and they said they knew me, f****d me and paid me.
One of them even returned my scarf that I had dropped last night.
"Doesn't all this prove it? Or do you still want to argue again?"
"I will confess everything, only if you present your son, Luna Jacinta. Because the key to all of this is your son..." I said with all the courage I had.
And in the next moment, I heard footsteps approaching us. As soon as the guards opened the door, someone emerged from there, Liam, walking over to me, my mother kneeling at Luna Jacinta's feet. Seeing Liam coming, I immediately felt relieved.
"Liam..." I hissed softly. I looked at his face with hope and confidence that he would fight for me. I wanted him to slap the people who had falsely accused me and conspired to punish my mother and me.
"Good morning, mum." Liam saluted Luna Jacinta, he just passed me by without even looking at me. He behaved as if I didn't exist.
It pained me to the core.
"Liam, please tell your mum, please tell her the truth about us. About our relationship." I couldn't help myself when I realised that Liam didn't act immediately.
"What do I have to say about you?"
"And what relationship do you mean, you are nothing more than a servant? Don't you realise that, omega Arielle?" His words stabbed me right in the heart. I felt as if I was going to die; this was very painful.
I stared at him desperately. "Please, Liam, please..."
"Luna ask your son, I am not a w***e, and the only man who has ever touched me is your son. I swear!"
"Mother, you must execute her immediately, because it seems like she is not only immoral but also insane. This is very detrimental to the dignity of our pack." I could hear his words clearly, and I couldn't believe what my ears were picking up.
"Belinda, forgive me, your daughter's immoral crimes are unpardonable. I will execute her tonight in front of all the people in the hall of the square."
"Dragged her out!" Luna Jacinta commanded the soldiers.
"It's not the men, who have f****d me, but your son who f****d me every night, Luna. I do not lie!" I screamed loudly as the Betas violently pulled me out of the Chamber.
"Get that b***h out of here, and lock her up in the dungeon!"
