Chapter Twelve  ‘This, You need to get this! You’ll look so f*****g hot!' Benny yelled across the shop, holding a black dress up. Multiple people turned and looked at him. I was so embarrassed. I quickly ran over to him, and ‘’shushed’’ him. Turning my attention back to the dress, I shook my head.  ‘Awww, Why?’  ‘Because, Ben, I’m not wearing a dress that’s so short it looks like a belt. I’m not trying to send the wrong message... And, I’m not a hooker’. He rolled his eyes and put it back on the rack.  ‘Don’t you want to get his imagination running?’ He raised his eye brows at me, suggestively. This time, I rolled my eyes at him.  ‘Shut up!’. I could feel myself blushing. Yes, of course, I did, but not by wearing a slutty dress.  ‘Ok, Ok, What about this one?’ He asked, holding up a nice dark purple strapless number. It was pretty. I liked it. A lot.  ‘Oh wow, I love it!!’ I grabbed it from his hands and practically ran to the changing rooms to try it on. I heard him laughing behind me as he followed. I went in and changed in to it. Taking a look at myself in the mirror… It looked good… I looked good.  Wow! Opening the door, I stepped out and showed it to him.  ‘Ok, Be honest, What do you think?’ i asked, turning around so he could see it from all angles.  ‘It's Um.. Not you.’ His answer confused me. What does that mean? Seeing my confusion, he corrected himself. ‘It looks good. Nice’. He was stuttering it.  ‘You’re a terrible liar Benny’. Sighing, I headed back in to the changing room and took it off. When I went back out, benny was still sat in the chair, He looked up and smiled.  ‘You have to get that dress’. Ok, I was confused again.  ‘But you said it wasn’t me… I didn’t think you liked it’. He shook his head and rolled his eyes.  ‘I meant it in a good way. This dress makes you look..’ He trailed off.  ‘Look what?’  ‘To be completely honest Chicken, This dress makes you look hot as f**k and I don’t see you like that so.. It's a good dress, Trust me’. I felt my face heat up again, His words made me blush. ‘Come on’. Taking my hand, he led me through the shop to the counter, I brought it, and we headed down to the food court for some lunch.  I was STARVING!  I grabbed a table while Benny went and ordered us some food, I had no idea what he was going to get, but he knew me well enough, so I wasn’t worried. While he was gone, it got me thinking, Should I have agreed to go on a date with Kipper?  Was it the right thing to do?  Was I being to mean and selfish?  What was the point of going on a date with some one only to leave them days after?  ‘Hey? What’s up?’ I hadn’t even realised Benny came back to the table. I shook my head and forced a smile.  ‘Nothing, I’m fine’. He lifted his hand and ran his thumb across my cheek.  ‘Well, People don’t cry for no reason, Spill!. I shook my head, ‘Is it about Kip? Moving? What?!’  ‘It's about every  thing. There's things you don’t under stand about my life, things you dont know. None of you does.’ I mumbled quietly. He stuck a fry in his mouth and started chewing on it slowly, clearly waiting for me to elaborate. I wasn’t going to. Not about the real issues any way. ‘Am I a complete b***h for doing this?’  ‘Doing what?’  ‘Agreeing to a date. He told me he basically loves me and I’m leaving, I feel like.. i-I’m just messing with his feelings.. My own feelings. Should I have just said no?’ An understanding expression washed over his face.  ‘No! No, of course, you’re not a b***h! You’re making yourself and Kip happy. He’s wanted this for so long and, sure, your pending exit might have given him the kick up the ass he needed to tell you how he feels, but you made the right choice Emma’.  ‘Thank you’. Those are words I really needed to hear.  ‘You don’t have to go you know’. I just looked at him and shook my head.  ‘Yes, I do. I really dont want to but.. There’s nothing I can do’. I hated feeling like this... But… they were my family, and the guys constantly telling me not to go made me feel worse.  'Ok, I'll make a deal with you, This is between me and you, so it stays that way right?' I nodded curiously. 'You go to England, But If you miss us at any point or change your mind and want to come home, you phone me and I'll be on the first flight out of here to come and get you, got it?' 'Yes' I agreed. He smiled.  'Good girl.'  That was the end of our conversation. He changed it to something more uplifting and we continued with our lunch..
