Chapter Thirteen

Driving home from the Mall gave me time to Quiz Benny on what Kip had planned for tonight. He text me as we left the shops and said he and the other guys were waiting at Benny’s for us to get home… which means I only had now to grill Ben for information. 

‘So… Do you know what Kip has planned for me tonight?’ He laughed as if he already knew what I was going to ask. 

‘Nope. I have no idea what so ever’. I squinted my eyes. He was lying.

‘Bullshit!’. He laughed again. 

‘Of course, it's bull s**t, but I’m not telling you’. I turned my head and looked out the window. Of course, he wasn’t going to tell me. The rest of the car ride went by pretty fast and in silence. The only talking was when Benny asked for his lighter or for me to pass him his drink. 

Pulling in to the drive way, I looked over at my house and saw my mum looking out the window at me us. Benny leaned over and waved at her. He knew she hated him, so he was just winding her up. 

‘Just ignore her, come on, the guys are waiting.’ We got out the car and headed in side the house. 

Most of the guys were just lazing around, but there was a slightly familiar girl cuddling up to Angel. Who was she? I dumped my bags in the hall way and headed into the living room. Kip patted his lap for me, which, of course, i went over and sat down on. 

‘The waitress from the bar, She and Angel had a breakfast date. Apparently it went well’. I ‘’ohhh’’ed and smiled at her. 

‘Hey, I’m Emma. Nice to meet you’. She smiled back. 

‘Hey’. That was all she said. Weird, but fair enough. I shrugged it off and turned my attention back to Kipper. 

‘I found some thing really nice to wear tonight’. That certainly peaked his interests. ‘Benny said it made me look really hot so.. I hope you like it’. He grinned. 

‘Oh really?’ I nodded. ‘Sounds good to me. Missed you today’. I felt myself blush deeply and looked away. 

‘Missed you too’. 

‘Good’.  I leaned forward to kissing him, but some one coughing loudly and over dramatically. Sighing, I kissed him quickily and looked at Angel. He just grinned and looked away. ‘I guess we’ll have to wait till we’re alone, huh?’ Kip whispered in my ear. 

Grr, tease! 

I started watching Zane and Matt as they played Call of Duty on the Tv. Typical ‘’boy’’ things. My phone vibrating and I pulled it out of my pocket to see who it was. It was my mum; 

Get home NOW! 

I rolled my eyes and sighed, climbing off Kips lap. 

‘I have to go home. I’ll see you tonight?’ Maybe I could squeeze in a little nap too. He nodded and I leaned down to kiss him again, only a quick peck before I said my good byes to every one else and grabbed my shopping bags on the way out of the house. 

Walking in the front door, and was instantly confused by what I saw, mum was on her knees in the hall way, surrounded by boxes. Were these here this morning?! 

‘Hey, what is going on?’ She looke d up at me, almost in… disgusted. 

‘What’s going on with you and that man?!’ She almost screamed. ‘How long has it been going on?!’ 

‘What? Me and Benny? Nothing is going on, we’re friends, you know that’. She stood up and walked over to me. I knew what she was going to do before she did it, but sure enough, her hand came down and slapped me across my face. 

‘Don’t you dare lie to me! If I find out any thing is going on between you, I’ll-’

‘What?!’ I cut her off, fighting back tears. ‘You’ll what? You don’t care about me, you never have! So why do you care who I date?’ She seemed lost for words. Standing up, I ran up stairs and away from her. 

As soon as I was in my room, I slammed the door and burst into tears..
