CHAPTER EIGHT

Aurora (POV)

Standing in front of the company building and dreading what was to come.

I didn't wanna work has a PA to Mr Andino but what can I do.

He has ordained me and I can only be patient until I get back to my normal job.

I entered into the building and then heard my name been called.

"Aurora"that sounded like James voice.

Shit! I didn't tell him about my new found position.

I turned to him and gave him a forced smile, but he had a scowl on his face.

"Hi James"I said to break the tension.

"Wow....just wow, you were given a promotion and you didn't even think to tell me or even the rest colleagues, and you were been informed last week and am only hearing it from Beatrice mouth yesterday"he whispered yelled.

"Am sorry, truly sorry"I apologize sincerely.

But still upset with Beatrice running mouth.

I do know she heard it from mrs Katherine, since they practically live in the same neighborhood.

"Right you're"he crosses his hand in anger.

"To be sincere James...I wasn't sure if I was up for that but come to think of it, the position is only valid for two months, am coming back to my original job"I explained to make him understand.

"But still, am your friend for cry out loud!"he said.

"I know and am sorry....I'll continue begging until you forgive me"I said.

He sighed and held my shoulders, "no need for that, just promise not to do that ever again".

I nodded and smiled at him.

We walked to the elevator but stopped when I noticed the workers looking at me intensely and some whispering to each other.

I didn't wanna mind them, but what one said made me vexed.

I turned to face the person and was surprised that it was the company slut Jessica, with her dye red hair and slutty clothes.

"I dare you to repeat that statement"I said.

She looked at me and then turned to the two girls opposite her, which I guess is her minion and turn to me with a scowl.

"I said you're a slut and a gold digger who has slept her way to the top.....seriously you're just a newbie and suddenly promoted to work with the Ceo, gosh you're so shameless and not surprised if you prostitute yourself to men to........"she was stopped when i gave her a sound slap.

She held her now red cheek.

"Say that nonsense again and I will be sure to reduce your size......talking about slut and gold digger, out of you and I who is dressed more professional"I asked.

"I am, and you mentioned prostitute to my face..but I saw you entering a club two days ago with a man old enough to be your grandfather"I said.

She looked at me in shocked and was fuming.

Around people were whispering at her and looked at her in disgust.

"If you don't believe me, i've evidence with me in my phone...should I show you?"I questioned her with a smirk on my face.

"No...no need for that, I'll be on my way"she quickly said and walked away in shame with her useless friend.

I then turned to the rest employees, "do anyone have anything to say...... if not forever hold you peace".

I didn't wait and continued to my destination with James trailing behind.

We entered the elevator and pressed the button to our floor.

"That's was really bold of you"he said.

I shrugged and turned to him, "if you aren't strong enough no one and I mean nobody can back you up".

I heard the ping of the elevator and we came out.

We parted ways, and I went straight to mrs Katherine office.

I knocked and entered.

"Right you finally here"she said nonchalantly.

I just smiled and took a sit on the chair.

"Mr Andino will arrive shortly, so I am going to give you an ID card"she said and opened her drawer and gave me the ID.

I looked at it and surprisingly it had my picture on it and some kind of code number imprinted on it.

"This card is what will give you access to stuff when you reach the last floor were you will be working"she explained.

"So right now, my PA will show you the way there since I guess you don't and some grand rules you should follow"she said.

She pressed the intercom and requested for her personal assistant.

Within a minute she entered.

"You know what to do mia"and she nodded.

Has i stood up to follow her, I stopped in my track and faced her again.

"Mrs Katherine what you did wasn't cool"I said and in return a confused face.

"What do you mean"she asked.

"The rumors you inflicted on the employees"I simply said.

She was clearly shocked and turned her head down.

"If it repeats you won't be forgiven"I stated.

The PA was clearly confused with our interaction and I gave her a smile.

I continued working when the telephone on her desk rang, and after speaking with whoever is on the line, she turned to me.

"You need to get to your work station quick"she said has she stood up.

I was curious with that.

"The boss has arrived".

Right now am in my small cozy office in the last floor were the Ceo resides.

I was anxious, curious and sweating, I don't know the kind of man I'll be working for and hoping he doesn't stress me until the two months is up.

I stood at along side with some workers in the floor.

Apparently, he has a secretary, two extra employees that will be of assistance.

We stood in the hallway and waited for his arrival.

My chest was beating too fast for some reason and I couldn't explain why.

I held unto my chest and squeeze it a little, what was this feeling?.

My thought was distracted when the ping of the elevator sounded.

He has arrived.

The first set of people that came out was the manager and some head worker including mrs Katherine, then came some buffed men.

Wait a minute!,even with there eye glass on I will recognize the people that humiliated and threw me out that hotel.

Two of them to be specific came out and parted ways for the boss to come out.

The first thing I saw was the shinning black shoes and then the handmade trouser following the suit with an inner white long sleeve.

And following a tie.

I raised my head up to peak a little since all heads were bowed in respect.

And with what I do know, the only person that holds such strong intimidating presence belongs to know one else.

Finally looking at his face.

"But him".

He is the arrogant man back at the hotel, but jesus without the eye glass he was just too beautiful for my liking.

And when a man is considered beautiful it means every women dream to marry.

I finally saw his piercing green eyes.

I quickly looked down  to avoid anyone of them to recognize me.

But wait a minute!, if he is the boss and he saw me that day.

That mean he knows everyone in the company....which is normal, and he purposely chose me to work for him.

That's it Aurora, you're finished and forget about having a peaceful job, and working with him.

He's here to settle some scores.

And I don't think I might survive this time around.

God help me from the hands of this man, because I don't think I'll be free from his wrath.
