CHAPTER TEN

Aurora(POV)

With my back slumped on the bed and my hand covering my eyes shielding from the sun reflecting through the window, I was completely exhausted and scared to go back and work for that man.

I'll rather die.....maybe not physically but emotionally.

What am I even saying, I rather walk has a waitress than work for him....in fact breath the same air has that pompous ass.

What he said yesterday was really frightening and am not risky myself to work for him.

Groaning I turned to see that the time currently stated 6:28am and am supposed to be in the office exactly 7:00 at the dot.

Who cares, i'll show up when I feel like it.

"Then you will remain forever jobless....don't you remember his threat"my subconscious said.

It seems there isn't an escape route for me this time around.

Flashback

"So we meet again fire lady...or should I say my spite fire"he smirked.

Am dead, God save me from him.

He was about to say more, when the door opened with a bang.

I sighed in relief...am save, so I should quietly slip away since the person who  arrived will be in conversation with him.

"Hello...beautiful lady we meet again"hearing a deep male voice behind me.

I do know i've heard that voice somewhere before.

I turned to the accomplice and was very shock to see it was the male greek God i meant on my first day of work.

And let me say he look exactly like Mr andino who is sitting behind me.

Have mercy.....they're two of them.

How can it be, am in between two beautiful specimen.

"Wow sweetheart, am liking the new name...keep it up"the male said with a smirk and strolled to sit on the available sofa.

I turned to Mr andino and he was smiling at me....right I was blunt again.

Why do all this embarrassment find there way to my precious life.

I just want something to swallow me whole.

"Big B I'll give you credit because this lady right in front of me is an angel from above and I could stare at her all day"he boldly uttered.

I couldn't help but blush at that or is he flirting with me.

I turned to Mr Andino and he had a big scowl on his face and wasn't happy.

What did I do.

"If you finished blushing your time away, you get back to work and stay there until you called"he remarked.

Why his he so angry all of a sudden.

"Chill bro you're been too strict"his brother who i haven't had the pleasure of knowing his name spoke.

"She will surely have a lunch break....you can't possibly have her come to you before she eat"he continued.

"Keep shut enzo....i do what i want"he said with finality.

"You start your work properly by tomorrow since I don't have any thing important today.....and make sure you're here before seven because the Chinese investors will be here has early has possible not to waste time.....so make sure your alarm his on and be early, if not you will be fired and when I mean fired, you won't find any job anywhere else...got it?"he asked with a strict tone.

I nodded and when he gave me that look, i had to use my mouth.

"Crystal sir"I said.

These is it, am completely finished. My boss isn't the friendly type.

Mr Andino will make it an habit to make my life a living hell.

"Should I be excuse your highness....I mean sir"I slightly bow.

I did this to mock him and I could see from my lashes that he wasn't happy with my actions.

But his brother whom I now have the pleasure to know is name laughed.

I turned to walk away, when his word stopped me.

"This is just the beginning miss Aurora, I'll make your pathetic life more pathetic and you will wish you hadn't cross path with me at the hotel"he harshly stated.

I had a shiver run down my spine and without looking at him I left.

Presence

I won't give him the satisfaction that am weak and will yield to his pathetic and lame threat. I'll prove to him that am capable and worth.

And his money or power isn't the only thing that matters in this word.

And the only way I can prove him wrong is by taking a quick shower.

I all but ran to the bathroom and took the fastest bath in my life.

Running to the closet I picked a black pencil skirt that reaches my middle thigh and a milk color long sleeve.

After dressing I put on a light make up and let my straight hair down which was touching my ass.

Wearing my heels has I hop to the kitchen and grabbing apple....which I like doing.

I locked the house and since Casey went to the office very early.

Now my only dilemma will be transport.

I walked out the neighborhood and was lucky to see a taxi, which I hailed and entered not before giving him the address.

I've been saving up to buy myself a car and I'll before the end of this year.

The salary will also help me because the pay is huge.

We luckily didn't encounter any traffic on the way and I arrived at the company, paying the taxi driver and rushing into the building.

I uses my ID card and entered the elevator provided for workers in the last floor.

When I arrived, the secretary was about to sit when she saw me.

"Were have you been, Mr Andino is probably boiling with anger right now and also the Chinese investors has arrived"she said.

"Am sorry, it was the damn traffic...not"I whispered the last part.

She gave me some document which will be needed for the meeting.

She's really a life saver and without anymore delay I ran to the board room were the so called meeting is holding.

I pushed the glass door open and all head turned to me.

My gaze lowered and entered.

"Am very sorry for been late"I apologize.

"If you're done please take a sit miss Aurora"Mr Andino said, using my name means am in trouble, ones this meeting is over.

I saw enzo pointing to sit with him and I did.

The meeting continued while I wrote down important info.

The contract was set up and the only remaining thing to do was for the two parties to sign.

The Chinese investors couldn't speak English clearly which was very difficult to understand but they do here what we say.

"We, us agree to this contract...but

Clause you need, and me to sign in it" one said which must be the boss.

Mr Andino was confused by what they were saying.

I cleared my throat and spoke, "you mean if any clauses is included"I said in Chinese language.

"You speak our language"he switched to speaking Chinese.

"Yes".

"We don't wanna have any issues in the near future, so since reading in English is difficult we don't wanna be trapped"he said.

"If you like I can read the contact for you"I suggested, to which he agreed.

I spoke everything in Chinese and when done he took the contract and signed.

"Sha sha"he said.

"You welcome"Mr yang yin.

Mr Andino was looking at all the interaction and decided to sign since they too signed.

We all stood up and they shakes each other hands.

"Nice doing business with you"Mr yang yin said.

"You too"let me escort you out.

When there were about leaving Mr Andino looked at me with a glare before leaving.

Wow...I helped him and doesn't look happy about it, what a pompous ass.

"My brother won't be happy with that name fire lady"enzo said.

I forgot he still here.

I gave a nervous smile and sat back on the chair.

"But I really appreciate your help....were did you learn to speak Chinese?"he asked.

I was about to answer when the door opened again and Mr Andino entered, I swallowed a gulp.

He doesn't look happy, but i just helped in the partnership.

"Miss Aurora what the meaning of your behavior today?.....you came late, and also didn't ask my permission before butting in"he angrily said.

I flinch by his harsh tone.

"Am sorry sir"I whispered.

"Yes you're.....next time you try such act again you will be fired, am I clear?.

"Yes sir"I replied.

He left the room angrily and I sat there with a frown on my face.

Jerk.

I heard a laugh from my side.

"You won't ever change....if it's other ladies they will be crying by now"he said.

"Well am not like them....Mr Andino has meant his match"I smirked.

He just laughed at it all....if he wanna be icy and scary with a frozen heart, then am fire and determined to melt that frozen heart.

His word can't hurt me because I've learned to be strong for myself and no one and I mean nobody words can make me feel pathetic.

I am who I am, and before the end of this two months working for him I will break every shell he has surround himself with.
