CH. 25- Victory!

The cockroach-humanoid monster was slowly pushed back by Blitz. After being enraged by his comrades, who were unable to deal any damage towards the beast. Trails of electricity started appearing all around Blitz's surroundings.

Marcus and Lorenzo gazed with awe as they saw their comrade, who was formerly pinned down, rise back up. Marcus, who stared at the window, saw the former sunny day outside turned into a stormy one. An outburst of lightning struck in Blitz's direction, which came out from the sky. Then within seconds Blitz was able to stand foot to foot with the monster.

“Looks like you were not that strong after all.” Blitz then swings his halberd with the monster, throwing the beast to the wall.

But like before, the monster was still unscathed. Marcus and Lorenzo took a peel at the monster's situation and saw that it was still standing firmly without injuries. Blitz, who saw the beast charged once again. However, his speed was faster than before.

Within just half a Blitz arrived in the monster front. “Now, let's see if you can survive this!” Blitz yelled as he swings his halberd towards the monster. Thus the battle between the hunter Blitz and the cockroach monster began.

*Chiiiing* *Chaaaang* *Clank* *Chiiiiing*

The two started exchanging powerful blows. The cockroach man using his fist while Blitz used his halberd. The clash of the two created a sound so similar to blades clashing with each other. It was piercing and uncomfortable.

Marcus and Lorenzo, who were on the sidelines, watched the two fight. Both of them were amazed by how fast Blitz got after being enraged. But it's currently a stalemate between the two as they were both equal in speed and power.

However, as he was clashing with the monster, Blitz yelled at his two comrades. “What are you two still looking at? Where's the support I need!”

After hearing Blitz, Marcus, and Lorenzo had a smile on their face. Without replying to their ally exchanging blows with the enemy. The two charged forward and used their abilities to help.

Marcus slowed time, but the monster was too fast that it was still able to move normally. So Marcus's slow time was still useless against a monster, which is very reliant on speed. Marcus miscalculated after seeing that his ability was fruitless to help.

“This is useless,” Marcus spoke unto himself, however, out of nowhere.

“Nice! His movements are slower than before. Now I can go all out and out speed his speed.” yelled Blitz at Marcus while trading blows with the monster.

Lorenzo, on the other hand, uses the opportunity to recover a small portion of his strength. To be able to summon the tentacle-like tree branches again. Then within a few seconds, Lorenzo points his dagger at the beast.

Then the tentacle branches of trees pierced through the walls. The tree-branches rushed towards the monster, who was clashing with Blitz. The monster's blows which Marcus slowed down a little, were now wholly stopped. After being bonded by the tentacle-like tree branches that Lorenzo summoned.

Blitz immediately used the opportunity to give the most potent strike as he let out an angry yell, “Aaaaaahhhhh!” The sound of clapping thunder, accompanied by lighting, appeared on the halberd as Blitz swung it towards the monster.

For the first time since it came from the cockroach's carcass, the man-like cockroach monster has its first injury, as the ax part of the halberd sliced through half of its torso. Blood splattered through the blade of Blitz's ax.

“I'm not done yet!” Blitz yelled as he pulls his halberd back. And swings on the opposite side of the injured right side torso. So this time, Blitz swung his halberd on the left side of the monster. He was able to do this by rotating the rod, which held the halberd's ax, and pike.

Another thunder sound erupted, but due to how fast the attack that Blitz did. It only took moments for the monster to have its body sliced in half after receiving the mighty blows of Blitz's halberd.

The monster groaned in pain as its upper body falls. However, when the beast thought everything was over. The halberd's ax greeted him once again, swinging towards his head.

“I'm not finished yet.”

Another booming thunder sound erupted the area after Blitz swings his weapon towards the monster to deal the final blow. He was ending the battle between them and the beast.

With no escape, Blitz sliced the monster's face in half. They were officially claiming their victory against the cockroach-monster when its two separated bodies landed on the ground.

After that, Marcus drops his slow time ability, Lorenzo's tree branches slowly escaped the room they were currently in, while Blitz drops to the floor and tries to catch his breath.

Then put of nowhere, behind them, someone clapping his hands. Its sound echoed in the empty hallways of the school. The three exhausted hunters then looked in the direction where the sound came. They saw Clint and the female teacher who bumped into Marcus—walking towards the three of them.

“Congratulations, you three, you have both failed and passed something. Would you like to know what you three have passed?”

“Wait, this was a test!?” Lorenzo and Marcus yelled.

But after few seconds of confusion. The three looked at each other and nodded. Clint then asked the three once again, “then which one do you want to know first? The good one or the bad one?”

Blitz immediately replied to Clint's question. “Then tell us what we had failed in; it's better to know that first. So we will be able to reflect on ourselves.”

Clint smiled after hearing Blitz, so he proceeds to tell them the thing they had failed.

“You three failed in damage control. Look at what happened to this area. The floor got destroyed. You, three kids, obliterated multiple walls. You also created that giant hole. It looks like a bulldozer crashed in here. You three should learn how to minimize property damage. ”

“But you three did well in your cooperation. Leading you three to defeat that category B monster. And it seems that you guys did it quite easily. Now you three are ready for next week, as a representative, for a special mission. That will be held in Saudi Arabia. So make sure to learn to control your damage. As you guys would probably destroy some expensive stuff there.”

Rose was shocked by this sudden revelation that she spoke, “don't tell me, Clint, they are going to be sent to that place.”

Clint gazed at Rose with a grin on his face as a reply to her question.
