Colleen Fradejas is your typical introverted bookworm and coffee lover. She cherishes her alone time when she does not have to force a smile and make conversation with people. All in all, socializing has never been her cup of tea.

Until one day she meets a group of nine mysterious yet beautiful women while doing her usual morning jog in the park. They hit it off immediately and exchange numbers.

The more Colleen spends time with these women, who share little about themselves, the more her interest in them grows. One night, during a sleep-over at their place, Colleen makes a horrifying discovery that leads her to wonder if her newfound friends are truly who they appear to be.

Who Are You?
Colleen was leaning against a counter in the kitchen. She was panting, still out of breath from the fracas that had just taken place. A clean, unused rag near the sink caught her eye. She grabbed it and used it to dab the cut on her arm. A hiss escaped her lips as the cloth met her lacerated skin. From the corner of her eye, she could see that they were all watching her.  As a result of their clash, the other women were clearly in pain, too. Enya's perfectly proportioned features were now distorted by the bruises that had formed around her doe eyes and plump lips. Haruko had a long gash on her forehead; it looked as if someone had drawn a thin red line on paper. Valerie's lips were bleeding profusely; however, she did not appear one bit unfazed by her injury as her deep-set eyes were fully trained on Colleen. Colleen almost felt sorry for them. Almost. The only one in the room who seemed completely unscathed was Audra, who at that moment was piercing Colleen with her sharp gaze. Colleen only managed to maintain eye contact with Audra for half a second before she shifted her attention to the lamp on the table which was situated merely several feet from the willowy woman. Unable to tolerate any more moments of silence, Colleen opened her mouth to ask the one question that had been floating in her mind for more than two hours now. "Who are you people?" she asked in a calm manner, in contrast with the biting fear that had snatched her normally resilient heart in a vise-like grip. For a moment, no one spoke. Then Quinn's voice rang out. "You will find out soon enough, Colleen." "Soon enough? Why not now?" Colleen furrowed an eyebrow as she scanned the faces of the nine women whom she was once happy to call her friends. Though now that she had just discovered what lay within the bowels of their mansion, and posterior to the brawl that took place among them, to say that Colleen felt uneasy in their presence was an understatement. "Now, now, Colleen. Don't be getting impatient." With a smirk, Karin made her way over to Colleen, who resisted the urge to take a step back.  Colleen gulped upon noticing how close they were to each other.  For a reason unbeknownst to her, her heart started to pound against her chest like a jackhammer, sweat trickling down the back of her neck. Karin seemed to notice her discomfort and smiled. She leaned in so that their noses were nearly touching, her twinkling brown eyes boring into Colleen's frightened ones.  And when she spoke, Colleen was met with a waft of minty breath. "Time to bid goodbye to your world, dearest human."
