Hurt Mak/Mike's Book

Makayla's p.o.v Earlier, I woke up in a hospital bed. I now sit here, telling my parents, Michael and Lucas everything that happened. Michael looks pissed off. "Makayla, Ashley, and her friends came in from the woods and said they heard yelling. They went to their car to grab some things. It couldn't have been them, " my brother tells me. "It was them, Michael. I know what I heard and what I saw. Girl shoes and people wearing masks, although the person who threw the cloth over my face and held me, felt too tall and too strong to be a girl. He was forsure a male, but he never talked or made any noise. I did infact hear Ashley's voice and Iris's voice" I say and look over at Lucas. She is their little bestie, maybe he can talk to her and see if she will admit it. "You're lying. You are just jealous that Lucas will be with Iris once we all go away to college" My ìdìot brother tells me. "Get the fùck out of my room Michael. You are an ìdìot." I say and he storms out. "I am going to call Iris and see if I can get her to admit what they did baby" Lucas tells me and walks out of the room as well. Atleast we are on the same page. "Sweetie, I am sorry about your brother." Dad says. "It's okay, I know he's in love with Ashley, but I would never lie about this daddy. I pinky promise and once Courtney wakes up, she can tell you guys everything that happened to her" I tell him. "Her parents arrived last night. She has broken ribs and was stabbed in 2 different places my dear. She was beaten up worse than you were. Why would those girls do that to you two?" Mom asks me. "I don't know mommy, but my heart hurts so bad" I cry. She presses the button for the nurse. Lucas's parents walks in and a little bit later, my grand parents also walk in to visit me. "Sweetheart" my grandpa says with tears in his eyes. "Why is your brother outside arguing with Lucas? Grandma asks. "Let me go see" dad says and stomps out angrily with Adam right behind him. Michael's p.o.v I called Ashley as soon as I stepped outside of my sister's room. She denied everything. She started crying and she claims that my sister has a personal vendetta against her. I knew Makayla was lying. Ashley told me how my sister was bullying her and her friends the other day at the diner. I also know that Makayla is upset that Lucas is leaving, but to blame them for attacking her and her friend is going over board. Why is she doing this? Lucas walks over to me. He is on the phone. "Just admit it Iris, you guys have been caught. Makayla told us it was you and your friends." He says. He pauses hearing what Iris is saying. "Makayla doesn't lie Iris. I believe her." He tells Iris. He waits again. "Don't cry now Iris. I don't understand why you would hurt my girlfriend and her best friend, but from today on, I want nothing to do with you. You are no longer my friend. Shìt, I can't even believe I thought you were a friend. Stay the hèll away from me and Makayla, that is if you all don't get arrested for what you did." He tells her and hangs up. Lying bìtch he whispers. "Lucas, chill. Why would you say all of that to Iris, we have known her for years. She wouldn't lie. Ashley already told me that Makayla is lying." I tell him. "You believe them over your sister? We know Makayla doesn't lie bro" he tells me, his voice raising. "Lucas, lower your voice. Makayla can be dramatic. Maybe she thought it was them and ran with it." I say. "You are out of your fùcking mind" Lucas yells. "Hey, you two, we are in a hospital, calm the fùck down." Dad comes out and tells us. "Mike, what's your problem?" He asks me. "Dad, I am just upset and now my girlfriend is upset because of Makayla and her lies." I tell him. "Makayla isn't lying Mike. She pinky promised." He tells me. I look at him with wide eyes. I don't say anything though. "Lets just wait for Courtney to wake up and we can go from there. There will also be an investigation so the truth will come out sooner or later" he adds. "I'm going back inside" Lucas says. Adam follows him. "Dad, Lucas cut off his friendship with Iris over this already, what am I suppossed to do? How will our college setup work out now?" I ask him. We haven't even left and it is all crashing down already. Everything I had planned for us is now ruined. Makayla's p.o.v Chris combs my hair out while mom and her talk. I kind of zone out. I am still trying to figure out why they attacked us. Is Iris really that upset that I am going to prom with Lucas? "Oh my god!" I yell. "What's wrong Mak?" Mom asks me. "Prom. I look Like crap. I won't heal in a week. I can't go to prom with Lucas looking like this" I say and the tears begin to fall. "Hey hey, calm down pretty girl." Chris tell me as she wipes my tears. "No. Don't let Lucas back in here. I look rough. He shouldn't have to look at me like this." I say. "Good luck keeping him away Makayla. Lucas doesn't care how you look. You were attacked and Lucas is just relieved that nothing serious happened to you. The wrist will heal and your bruises will fade away. Lucas loves your heart though. Don't push him away over what you think he wants to see." Chris tells me. "Can you guys atleast help me get a little dolled up. I don't want to look or feel like crap anymore." I say and they both nod. Chris braids my hair and mom tries to hide some of my bruises with her makeup, but she can only do so much. I look in the mirror. Oh well, this will have to do for now. Chris is right. Lucas will love me no matter what. He walks back in the room and proves his mother right. "Baby. You look beautiful" he says with a wide smile. Making me feel like everything is right. Now if I could visit Courtney, I would feel much better.
