~Athena's POV~
~~One week from her 18th birthday~~~
The cold hard floor under my bare skin nips at me. My eyes feel heavy, and my skin is cold, but I don't feel as cold as I should. Sitting up, I was on the floor of James' room, a light blanket covered my bare body. Looking out the window, I saw a full moon fading into the horizon. My head ached as the buzz of everything around me felt so loud, almost as if the world had turned its volume up.
"Athena.." I heard from above me, James sitting on the edge of the bed. His eyes looked tired as he collapsed on the floor next to me and pulled me in tightly. "I thought I lost you..." His tight hug crushed me as he squeezed.
"What hap-" My voice trailed as voices racked my brain all at once.
'Hello! I'm your wolf Eclipse!' A chirpy purr rolled
