I get home and my parents are once again at me. “You’ve been gone for three days. You missed the ceremony.” My dad shouts. “Relax, I found my mate.” I say. “What!” Both mom and dad shout. “Where is she? What pack is she from? Is she coming to our pack or does her pack need you as alpha?” My dad starts firing questions at me. “Whoa, calm down.” I say with my hands. “I can’t wait to start planning the wedding.” My mom squeals. “She’s human.” I say. The look that they gave me is priceless. “So, you are going to reject her right?” My dad asks. “Honestly, I don’t know.” “Liam, you have to.” He says. “No, I don’t.” I say and I head upstairs for a shower.
After my shower, I stalk her social media based on her phone since I took pictures of it with my phone. I am a total creeper right now. But I figure if I can get her to fall in love with me is to find things we have in common. So far, we don’t. I don’t want to believe in the mate bond, but I do. It just doesn’t make sense how two people literally cannot go more than a day without someone and then the touching is all consuming. Seems too good to be true, but hey I am for it. I’ve only stalked this girl for a few days and can’t get her off my mind.
I see she posted about working so, I decide to go check it out. I drive into the city and see her working behind a bar. It’s crowded and there are all ages here. I spot her and try to keep my distance. I order a drink from one of the waitresses. I scroll on my phone looking for my own place away from the pack. I hear her heart rate pick up. I look over and see one of the drunks getting handsy. I walk over and set my drink down. “Hi, can I get another please?” I ask and she looks up at me. I smile and she smiles back. “Wait your turn pretty boy.” The drunk slob next to me says. I stand to my full height, and he slides off his stool. “Thanks for the seat.” I say taking it. He tries to shove me off. “You touch me one more time, you’re going to wish you didn’t.” I say with a slight growl, and I let Marx eyes show and it freaks the guy out and he goes away. “Thanks.” I hear her say and I turn back to her. “Don’t I know you from somewhere?” She asks. “No, I don’t think so. I am new to town.” I tell her. “I am Liam.” I say and offer her my hand. “Kailey, but most of my friends call me Kai.” She says taking my hand and then I feel it. The shock, the electricity, the connection. All of it, just went straight to my d**k. I can’t stand even if I wanted to. “Nice to meet you.” I say trying to calm my own heart down. “So, what are you drinking?” She asks. “Just water. I’ve had my quota for the night.” I say. “You don’t seem even remotely like you’ve been drinking.” She says. “I had one.” I say taking the glass she just handed me. She goes and serves another customer and I sit there. My mind is picturing me jumping over this bar and putting her on the bar. Laying her back so her knees hook over my shoulders while I taste her. I shake my head. “You okay there?” She asks bringing me back. I smile. “Any chance, I could get your number?” I ask her. She looks around. “I’ll think about it.” She says and gives me a wink. “How long do I have to stay for an answer?” I ask. “If you’re that impatient, then maybe you don’t deserve my number.” She says. I c**k my head at her. “Maybe I am that impatient, because the moment I leave this bar, I was going to call, but you wouldn’t probably answer because you are working. So, I’d follow up with a text asking you out on a date.” I tell her.
KAILEY
I know I have seen him before, but I can’t place it. He is smooth though, I give him that, but I am sure once he sees past my t**s and how much bigger I am than the bar can show, he will change his mind. “Where would you take me?” I ask him. “Anywhere you wanted to go.” He says. “As long as it ends up in a bedroom, right?” I ask him and his eyebrows shoot up. “Not on a first date. I am not a complete animal.” He says. “I see a lot of girls out there that have been staring at you since you sat down.” I tell him. He waves his hand like he is batting away a fly. He puts his forearms on the bar. “Yet, I only see you.” He says. “Smooth. Or did they all turn you down?” I ask him. “Didn’t even bother. I saw you.” He says. “Okay, that one was good.” I tell him. “Not good enough, if I still don’t have your number.” He says. “Stick around, you might get it.” I say and go tend to another customer. He stays until closing. He spent a lot of time on his phone, and I would refill his water every now and again. “You stayed?” I ask him. “Increasing my odds on that date.” He says. “It’s 2 in the morning.” I say grabbing the bar stools and putting them up on the tables. He seems to be helping. “Seeing that there is no other man around and the other employees appear to have left, I wouldn’t be a gentleman to let you walk to your car by yourself.” He says grabbing the same stool as me. “You were in my class the other day.” I say. “Was I?” He asks. “I’ve been all over since I got here. I have been trying to find a place.
