Chapter 1: Storm at the Wedding Venue
The grand wedding venue was completely alive and echoing with the soulful, traditional music of the shehnai, beautifully blending with the cheerful, loud chatter of the gathered guests. The entire atmosphere was filled with joy, celebration, and the sweet scent of fresh flowers. Dressed in a gorgeous, heavily embroidered red Banarasi saree, with beautiful, intricate sandalwood patterns drawn carefully on her forehead, and a traditional bridal headpiece resting on her hair, Arohi was sitting gracefully at the wedding altar. Her heart was beating fast with excitement and nervousness as she looked at Akash, the man she loved. Just moments before she was about to raise her hands and place the holy bridal garland around Akash’s neck, a loud, sudden commotion broke out near the entrance. A large, armed group of police officers suddenly arrived, storming into the hall and completely surrounding the entire venue, blocking every single exit. In an instant, the music stopped, and everyone fell completely, terrifyingly silent. The once-joyful venue suddenly turned into a room full of fear and confusion. Right at that chaotic moment, a tall, fair, and incredibly handsome young man stepped powerfully through the main entrance of the venue. Wearing an expensive, perfectly tailored Italian suit and dark sunglasses, he carried an undeniable air of royal arrogance and ultimate power. One look at his cold, commanding presence was more than enough for anyone to know he was no ordinary person—he was the city's biggest, most influential billionaire businessman, Adidev Singhania. Akash’s father, furious at this sudden disruption of his son's big day, stepped forward angrily, confronting the intruders, and asked in a loud, trembling voice, "Who are you people? What is the meaning of storming into an ongoing, sacred wedding with the police like this?" Adidev did not say a single word to him. He completely ignored the question and walked straight toward the bridal altar, his heavy footsteps echoing across the silent hall. His sharp, piercing eyes locked instantly onto Arohi, refusing to look away. Terrified by his cold, intense gaze, Arohi felt a chill run down her spine, and she instantly gripped Akash’s hand tightly for protection. Standing directly in front of a trembling Arohi, Adidev spoke in a calm, dangerously quiet, but grave voice that sent shivers through the crowd, "The game is finally over, Avani. Now, stop this drama and come back home with me." Arohi looked up at him in absolute shock, her eyes wide with total confusion. She gasped and said, "Anamika? Who is Anamika? I am Arohi! You are making a huge mistake, I have never seen you before in my life!" Akash yelled out in pure anger, stepping in front of Arohi to shield her, "Who do you think you are? Arohi is my bride-to-be, and we are getting married right now! Get out of here with your men right this second!" Adidev slowly turned his head and cast a freezing, dead glance at Akash, a look filled with pure disgust and warning. Then, he calmly pulled a heavy leather file from his inner pocket and threw it directly onto the sacred wedding altar, right into the middle of the rituals. Inside the file was a large bunch of photographs and an official marriage certificate. The photographs clearly showed a happy girl who looked exactly like Arohi, smiling warmly and standing alongside Adidev in various private settings. The legal certificate clearly and boldly read 'Adidev Singhania and Anamika Singhania'. Adidev pointed at the papers, showing their actual wedding photos, many other personal pictures, and all their original marriage documents as undeniable legal proof to everyone in the room. Adidev then turned his cold face to the police officer standing next to him and commanded, "Officer, my wife, who was legally presumed dead by everyone, is very much alive. These people have kept her hidden from me all this time to force her into this illegal second marriage. Take her away immediately." He turned back to the shocked crowd and added in a bitter voice, "We all thought she tragically died a year ago when her car crashed into the deep ravine, especially because her body was never recovered from the wreckage. But today, standing here, I finally realize she didn't die—she has just lost her memory and forgotten who she belongs to." Hearing these bizarre accusations, Arohi’s parents broke down in tears, crying out in total despair, "This is impossible! This is a nightmare! Arohi is our own biological daughter! She has lived with us her whole life and has never known any Adidev in her entire life. Please don't do this to our innocent girl!" But against Adidev's immense political power, endless wealth, and solid legal evidence, the helpless police officers refused to listen to anyone else's words. When Akash tried to step forward aggressively to protect Arohi, two police officers forcefully grabbed him and pushed him away onto the floor. Adidev then stepped forward, completely ignoring her tears, and tightly gripped Arohi’s delicate wrist with his iron hands. His grip was so terribly tight and unyielding that Arohi groaned out loud in sharp pain. "Let me go! You are a monster! I don't know you at all! Akash, please save me!" Arohi kept screaming, tears flowing down her face as she tried desperately to pull her hand away from his suffocating grip. Adidev pulled Arohi close to his hard chest in one swift, aggressive motion, pinning her against him. He leaned down and whispered darkly into her ear, "Even if the entire world turns upside down, you cannot escape from me today, Avani. You ran too far away from your husband; I will not let you go anywhere else now. Your running days are over." Seeing their daughter trapped, Arohi's parents completely lost all their strength. They literally begged him, falling helplessly at his feet on the floor, crying, "Please, we beg you, have mercy on us. Let our daughter get married peacefully. Don't ruin her life like this." Hearing their desperate cries, a cruel smile appeared on Adidev's handsome face. He looked down at them and said, "Fine. If you want it so badly, your daughter will definitely get married today. But this time, she will marry me, her rightful husband, and absolutely no one else. Priest, sit back down and start the wedding rituals immediately." Terrified for his own life by the armed guards and Adidev's scary tone, the old priest quickly sat down and started chanting the wedding rituals with shaking hands. Mistaking the completely helpless Arohi for his lost wife Avani, Adidev forcefully completed the wedding rituals, putting sindoor on her forehead right then and there. Out of absolute fear of his immense power, not a single guest or family member dared to lift a finger or do anything to stop him. Right in front of everyone’s stunned, tearful eyes, Adidev easily picked the crying Arohi up in his strong arms, lifting her off her feet, and walked confidently out of the venue toward his sleek, black Mercedes. As the car sped away into the dark road, all Arohi could see through the rear window was her familiar, loving world and her shattered family fading away into a completely dark blur.
