Aliana put Han in a hat and also a cartoon children's mask. She did this so that no one could see her son's face. For some reason, there was fear in her heart, what if the man who trapped him had a family? Wouldn't that make it difficult for her to meet them.
"Your son is handsome with the mask and hat," she said as she looked at her son's face.
Han smiled, he looked better after Aliana took him for a walk.
"Mommy doesn't wear a mask and hat too?"
"Put them on, I'll get them in a minute."
Han patiently waited for his mother to return. This was the first time he was going to go out after so many years at home, naturally the impatience lodged in his chest was enormous.
"Mommy's ready, let's go!"
Han smiled broadly and walked over while letting his mother hold his hand. On the way out, Aliana's mother and father were seen giving her a lot of words and wishes to take care of herself. Several bodyguards were asked by Mr. Maherson to guard Aliana and Han's departure, so that nothing would happen to them again.
"Today we'll go to the mall first, and then we'll eat out. Does Han want to buy a snack or a toy?"
"Can I have both?"
Aliana smiled, rubbing her son's head gently. "That's fine, we'll find lots of food and toys because I don't think I'll be able to take you out much after this."
Han smiled and nodded in understanding. Over the years he had gotten used to staying at home and playing with the servants or baby sitters. Han never asked questions anymore because he never saw the outside world too often. The only outside part of his life was looking at the backyard and front yard, occasionally helping his grandmother harvest the strawberries in the backyard and then playing with the toy cars in the front yard.
The Maherson residence was large and spacious, it was also what made Han not feel bored anymore at the age of 4 so he never went to far places.
"Miss, shall we go to the nearby mall?"
Aliana turned her head, after all the way she had been paying attention to the condition of the city that had changed quite a lot the last time she remembered, only then did she look away when the driver asked.
"Yes, just the nearest fully equipped mall."
"Okay."
Aliana sighed, leaning back with her gaze forward and looking serious. She was actually anxious, terrified of what might happen. However, she was confident that no one would recognize her because she was wearing a mask.
Hugging her son tightly, Aliana sighed softly and was confident this time. When else would she be able to see the outside world and pay attention to her surroundings that had changed quite a lot? She had to get out of the pit of darkness and get back to living a good life.
"He must have forgotten what happened back then, right? How could anyone know what happened other than myself and my family?"
Aliana stared at the mall in front of her. The car had also begun to stop and enter the gates of the mall, which was quite large in their city. Shortly after parking, Aliana got out of the car after the driver opened the door for her.
"Miss, we will keep you at a distance of 10 meters. We'll try to look normal and not attract any attention. Miss shop in peace," said one of the bodyguards with her.
Aliana nodded, taking Han's hand who was eager to get inside. After reassuring herself once more, Aliana entered the mall and mingled with the people. She didn't let go of Han's hand as much as possible, even though the mall was a little crowded because it was the most complete mall and there was also a movie theater or some kind of playground that made people choose it over other malls.
"Well, what do you want to buy first, Han? Snacks or toys?" asked Aliana as she looked down at her son who was smiling broadly.
"Toys first, Mommy... The toys at home have bored me. I want to buy a robot and some other toys," said Han, making Aliana smile.
"Then let's go..."
Han smiled widely, he excitedly pulled his mother's hand towards the toy store there. Aliana stared at the toys, waiting and helping Han choose. In terms of money she had never lacked since long ago and she could always give her son whatever he wanted, but this was the first time she took Han out and directly bought it in the store so it included a lot of items that made them stay in the toy store for quite a while.
"Mommy... Look, the dolls are cute..."
Aliana smiled at that. "Yeah, cute... Want one?"
Han nodded. "I want to buy it for Mommy."
Aliana smiled at that. "Where did this Mommy's boy get to do such a sweet thing, hmm?"
"From Grandpa, Grandpa often buys some gifts for Grandma. He said it was a sign of love, so I bought it for Mommy even though I used Mommy's money first."
Aliana chuckled, her son taking the initiative made her happy. That meant Han wasn't lacking in education at all despite always being at home since he was born until now.
They ended up shopping again for a while and sat on a pantry chair reserved for visitors. Since they were buying ice cream, Aliana couldn't help but open the mask Han was wearing to make it easier to eat.
Some of the other customers were a little indifferent at first but when a woman noticed Aliana and Han eating ice cream while enjoying their company, her gaze seemed to focus on Han who looked very familiar to her.
"Honey, why does that kid look so much like the President Director? If he's President Abram's son, what's wrong with that girl?"
"Uh, right... Why does he look like Brother Abram? Could it be his son?!"
"It's possible, let me video it while she doesn't realize it."
Because of the whispering between the two of them, some of the other customers were distracted and looked at the little boy with Aliana.
"Uh yes, it looks a lot like President Director Jayden Abram Holmes. Are the rumors about President Director Abram being caught sleeping with a woman true?"
"Uh, isn't that said to be hearsay?"
"Hey, Miss... Is your son President Director Abram's son? You must know him, his name is Jayden Abram Holmes! You must know who he is!"
Aliana stared at them with a pained face, at first she didn't really care because she thought it might not be her they were talking about. But when the lovers approached her, Aliana immediately grabbed her son to hold him.
"Is he Abram's son?"
"No!" Aliana shook her head quickly. "He's my son, not the president director's!"
