The Orphaned Alaph

Chapter 19

{Matt's P.O.V.}

    It feels like we had been running in circles forever. I seen Jake put his nose up in the air. I did the same. When we finally both caught her sent. The wind was blowing strongly.We looked at each other and started sprinting into the woods. We were both dodging trees and fallen branches. The snow was falling hard and fast. We must be at the begging of the snow storm rolling in. We could see a car up head and it looked like it was smoking. The headlights were still on. We both ran faster. As soon as we were close I shifted back into my human form. I could see a body laying on the ground behind the SUV. The blood stained snow made my heart sink. I ran over slowly flipping the body over. It was not Bella, but instead a man. He had a piece of metal sticking out of his neck. It looked like he had been here awhile due to all the snow on him. 

    I looked up to the drivers side door. It was open I ran over to it, but no one was their. I then looked around the whole inside of the car looking for Bella. 

    "She is over here." I heard Jake yell.

    I sprinted towards the other side of the car. Bella was sitting up agents the passenger side door. There was blood all around her. I brushed the snow off of her cut and bruised face.  I laid my head on her chest, and I could hear her heart beating slowly. I could feel her labored soft breathing as well. I looked at her body and tried to brush off as much snow as possible. That is when i seen the knife in her stomach.  I went to go touch it but was meet with Jake's hand.

    "Do not touch it. It is silver. Plus if we try to move it in anyway it might hurt her more." He said

    I got up going to the trunk looking for something to brace it with. I found a first aid kit and some shorts. I quickly put the shorts on grabbing the first aid kit. I ran back over to Jake. I opened up the kit and found some things to help keep the knife in place. Until the doctor can remove it. I look up at Jake.

    "I need you to run ahead of me. I will carry Bella, but you know the way back. I will follow your sent until we make it back to the pack house. " I said

    "Ok, I will mind link everyone to let them know that we have found her and have the doctor ready." He said standing up. 

    I nodded pulling Bella in to my arms bridle style. I held her tight making sure not to touch the knife. Jake ran ahead changing back to his wolf. I ran up to the woods giving him a nod. He was off and I was not far behind.     

    "Bella, baby just hang on. We are almost back. Do not leave me yet. Please do not leave me ." I whispered into her ear.

    I kept running, making sure to move with grace so I did not harm her more. I could faintly see the pack house lights as we excited the wooded area.  I ran harder then I ever had. I seen everyone standing by the door including the pack doctor. 

    "Hurry son. We have a bed ready to go and everyone is waiting." the doctor said

     We ran down the hall and around a couple of corners. I placed her lifeless body down on the bed, kissing her head. I took a few steps back. In a blink of an eye her bed was surrounded by nurses. The next few minutes where a blur. I could hear all the clatter and talking but all I could see were bodies moving around me. My heart was growing heavy and my legs began to become weak. I feel to my knees in pain. 

    "Doctor Mitch we are loosing her." I heard one of the nurses say. 

    I went to make a move forward when I felt to large pairs of hands wrap around my arms pulling me back into the hall. I look up to see John and Joe standing their. 

    "Why did you do that. I can not leave her. I can not loose her. I just found her!" I said yelling at them.

    "You can not be in their right now you will just get in the way, and we know that you can not loose her." John said, shaking his head. 

    "He is right. You will just slow down the process for them if you are in their. You need to go up stairs." Joe said looking at me with worry,

    "But." I went to say before i was cut off. 

    "No buts. Go. we will stay here and come and get you if anything changes. It is best this way." Joe said

    All I could do was nod. I got up and started walking down  the hall. I turned around to find both John and Joe standing next to her door. Guarding it. I felt a little better knowing that they would not let anything happen to her. The hallways seemed to look longer now. When I finally made it to the room I felt empty. I looked around. This room is not the same without her. I looked down at my body, blood was all over me. I went to the bathroom turning on the shower. I stood in front of the mirror looking at myself. I could not believe that all this was happening. I undressed and got into the shower. I let the hot water hit my back. I could feel the warm streams running down my cheeks. 

    "Please Moon Goddess, please I beg you. Do not take her from me just yet. Please, I just found her. I want to grow old with her. Please look after her." I said

    I quickly washed my self off. Watching as all of Bella's blood goes down the drain. I get out wrapping myself in a towel. I went to the closet and grabbed the pair of pants that Bella had given me slipping them on, along with a shirt. I climbed into bed on her side. I could smell her sent on her pillow. I grabbed on to it tighter, taking a deep inhale. This made me want to be by her side more, but I know that if I am I will only get in the way. I could feel my body relaxing as my eyes started to close.

    My dreams that night just made me miss her more....

    I was running in the woods. There was another wolf behind me. It was white, I did not feel in danger so I continued to run. Soon I could feel the wolf getting closer. The next thing I know she was on top of me

    "Got you honey!"  she said 

    Bella, oh my sweet Bella. She had shifted back into her human form. She stood there naked. He long brown hair flowed down to her waste covering her breast. I looked her body up and down. This filled me with happiness and desire. She ran over to me grabbing my hand. She lead me out into an open field. In the middle under the warm summer sun I could see a blanket. She continued walking towards it and I could not help but look at her nice butt. I Reached forward giving it a slight tap. She turned her head giving a little giggle. We reached the blanket and we both sat. She grabbed another blanket wrapping it around her body. She pulled out food from a basket and handed me some items to eat. We sat in silence for awhile. I just took her in. Watching her every move.

    After our lunch I pulled her to me. She sat on my lap, with both of her legs around my body. I laid her on her back gently kissing her neck. She moved her head so I had easier access to it. I heard a moan escape her lips. I looked at her perfect blue green eyes. I looked down at her body noticing her belly was bigger then it normally is. I place my hand on it and feel a strong kick, then another and another. Gezz whomever this little one is , sure does know who I am. I looked up at Bella's face again. It was laced with worry,

    "Are you happy?" she asked

    I just nodded my head I could not speak. I was going to have a family of my own soon. Bella is going to be a wonderful mom. I already know this. I looked down at her hands and pulled them to me. kissing them. I closed my eyes, when I opened them everything was black she was gone and I was alone. 

    I sat up in bed wide awake. My heart was pounding, my body was covered in sweet. I jumped out of bed. I ran down the stairs to the hospital room where I left Bella. I looked in the room to find it empty. I looked in the hallway to see if I could find John or Joe. Again nothing. I started running up and down hallways, finally I ran into a nurse. 

    "Where is Bella?" I asked out of breath. 

    "Second floor on this side, third door on the right." She said pointing to the elevator. 

    I ran to it. Pressing it over and over. The doors opened, I jumped in and went up to floor two. The doors opened for a second time and I ran out. I ran to the third door on the right. Looking in I see Joe on the couch passed out and John in the chair next to the door watching t.v. In the bed laid Bella, with tons of wires all over her. Her face looked pale. I looked over to the couch again and Joe was still passed out.   I chuckled at him and walked over to Bella. I pulled a chair closer and sat down before grabbing her hand. I kissed it softly. 

    "I am here baby, just rest and wake up soon ok?" I said softly to her.  

    John came up behind me placing his hand on my shoulder. Letting me know to go back to sleep and he would stay until I was awake. I rested my head on her hand never letting go of it and drifted back to sleep.
