The Orphaned Alaph

Chapter 18

{Matt's P.O.V.}

    I have been pacing the hallway waiting on Bella. She sent me a text almost six hours ago saying she would be home soon. I have tried to call and text but I get nothing. Jake was sitting at the bottom of the stairs. His face in his hands. We are both worried sick and it is showing. Mr. Winters offered to go out and look in the car taking the path that she always takes to work. He just left and Mrs. Winters is sitting in the living room with a cup of tea. Both Ronnie and May are sitting with her trying to keep calm. I know everyone is worried, but my heart keeps sinking into my chest. I feel my head starting to hurt and my legs. I feel my arm start to throb a few moments later and I can not help but feel that something bad has happened to Bella.    

    We hear a car pull up and a car door shut. We all run to the front door. It opens and it is Mr. Winter.

    "I am sorry I was not able to find her. I will go back out in a while. I am tired and can longer keep my eyes open. " he said. 

    My heart sank. "I stopped at the warehouse and they said that she had left over four hours ago. No one is allowed back until the roof is fixed."

    "What do you mean the roof?" I asked confused. 

    "I guess the roof caved in and she had spent over four hours with another employee to move and cover everything so that the construction can start to repair it." he said back at me. 

    I nodded my head and he went to his room with Mrs. Winters in his arms. I was over whelmed by the fact that no one knows where she is. My heart is hurting and I want to run out of the house and find her. Dom is clawing his way to the surface. By now both of my arms are burning and my back feel as it is being torn apart. I run to the door shifting mid air. Running towards the gate. Only to hear a faint, "I love you Matt, to the moon and back, forever and always." It was Bella. Which means she has to be close. I went to go run out again when I could hear another person joining me. I am guessing it is Jake. We run out of the gate trying to find Bella. 

{Bella's P.O.V.} 

    I left the warehouse feeling accomplished but also so defeated. It was snowing hard and I can barley make out the road. I take my time and come to a road block. Someone must have slipped off the road. I took the back street. This is the street where my parents died. I try my best to stay away from it. I hate this road with a passion. I turn my music up so it drains my brain from thinking. I turn my brights on as I am about to cross a bridge. I see someone standing in the road I hit my breaks and tried to stay clear of whatever it was in the street. I felt the car slid on black ice and the next thing i remember was the impact of the car hitting into the bridge. The airbags deployed knocking me out. 

    I awake a few moments later to see my car smoking, the widow was cracked and the wind shield wipers where going a thousand miles an hour. My head was pounding again. I took my hand to my head to see blood. My legs started to burn and hurt. I looked down realizing that they were cover in glass. I looked out the passenger window to see the person still standing in the road. I took all my energy to get out of the car.

    "Hello? Are you ok." I said, but no response. 

    I walk closer, the person backs up.

    "I wont hurt you. What is your name. I will call for help. Stay right there." 

    I walked back to the SUV to try to find my phone at no luck. I heard the snow cruching behind me. I shifted my head to look at the person that was in the street. He walked closer pulling out a silver knife. I was cornered. 

    "Who are you?"  I asked trying to keep my cool.

    "Your death." he said.

    "My death for what?"

    "Your their daughter? The daughter of the old Alpha and Luna of Midnight Moon pack are you not?"

    "I am but I do not have any idea why that matters."

    "You hold the power. The power I want."

    "What power?"

    "The power of a great Alpha. I am assuming that your parents failed to tell you who you really are. You control the largest pack in all of America, and you also have the power to have people bend to your ever giving will. You hold a crystal inside your heart that give you the power to over power every pack and rule as the Queen of the werewolf's. If I kill you before you have a child I gain that power." He said. His smile grew evil. 

    "I am not who you think I am." I said, try to find a way to run.

    "But you are my dear, and soon it will no longer matter as I will be the one to rule this world." he inched closer to me. 

    "Please don't do this. Please." I said and with that i felt the knife hit my arm. 

    I scream out in pain as I call for Mavie but I get nothing. It is like she left me. I am now pinned the open door, my legs give out from the glass that is still in them. I turn my back to this man hoping he would just disapear. Instead I felt cuts being placed all over my back. I turned trying to make him fall so I could get up but instead he caught my other arm. I finally was able to make it to my feet and push him back some but it was no use. I could smell the blood in the air. The once white snow now stained with my blood. I somehow manged to get to the back of the car, but I could hear him getting closer. I fell again over my own to feet. When I hit the ground I felt a sharp pain in my hand. The piece of metal had cut me. I wrapped my hand around it. My vision was getting spotty, and I know I had lost to much blood.  He comes in front of me, getting inches from my face.

    "I am the reason your parents died. I am the one that made you an orphan. I will be the one to kill you now. Your blood line ends with you." He spat at me.

    I grabbed tighter on the metal in my hand and swung hard and quick. Stabbing it straight into his neck. I could here his breathing become labored and his eyes widened. Before he fell to his butt he was able to stab me in my stomach. I looked down at the knife still in me, and he fell back. I screamed in pain as the silver knife sat in my skin. I looked over at the man and his breathing had stopped and the pool of blood around him was growing. I pulled myself to the other side of the car. trying not to move to fast. I looked down at myself. I was bleeding from every part of my body. The black dots started to grow,  I knew I was dying. 

    "I love you Matt, to the moon and back, forever and always." I said out loud. 

    Hoping he could here me. Soon I could no longer focus, and I figured I could rest my eyes for a bit. I could here wolfs howling in the surrounding woods. I smiled to myself and let the cold wind take me to darkness.
