Moving In?

Blythe I opened my eyes and smiled a little up at Bianca. She smiled at me and moved my hair out of my eyes. "Hey honey. Thank you so much for being so nice to me." I felt a little uncomfortable with her closeness and got up and grabbed my shoes. Feeling her soft lips on my neck I jumped and turned to her. She stared at me before sitting back on the bed. She bit her bottom lip and I When she seemed to be holding back something I said, "I won't tell anyone what you told me. I mean I don't even know half of the people you pointed out and their secrets would do nothing for me if they were revealed. Not that I'm mean or vindictive." Bianca smiled, "Thank you, you are so sweet. I know that for a fact now." I placed a hand on the spot on my neck she had kissed, "That was me saying thank you." I grinned shyly and whispered, "You're welcome." I went into the bathroom and freshened up before stepping back into my heels. Bianca watched me from the bed and whispered, "Oh yeah you have to go and meet Shadow at midnight. But it's smart not to wait to find him. No telling how the hell you guys are leaving out of here." When I looked at her she shrugged, "Helicopter, private plane, limo. Never easy to tell with the shadow clan, no one knows where they live." I nodded and said, "I'll remember that." Walking to the door I stopped when Bianca called my name. Turning around I saw her balled up on the bed with her dress gliding up her olive toned thighs. "You sure you don't want to stay longer?" Nodding hesitantly I whispered, "Yeah I should go." Walking out I let out a deep breath and started downstairs to the party again. Walking into a room where some powerful individuals stood looking like they were speaking about something important when I saw Duncan. He looked at me and then his silver eyes looked me over. Freezing when a couple more eyes snapped to me, I started to move back when a girl a couple years older than me came over. "Can we help you?" She didn't mean to sound intimidating but she was so on instant I started to repeal her. A succubus can draw you in like a siren but we can also scare you off if need be." The girl stumbled back and her big eyes widened. Duncan came forward and looked to me, "Calm down and knock it off, she wasn't going to hurt you." I looked at him and nodded. I calmed down and soon the tall brunette was able to get off the wall. She looked at me curiously and I looked back at her. Duncan suddenly snatched my attention by making me look at him. "Are you okay?" I nodded quickly, "Yeah, um I'm with my parents whenever you are ready." I pushed away from him and headed through the crowd with my head down. Walking outside of the weed laced air I breathed deeply and sprayed myself with perfume to get the smell off of me. Walking through the room I walked over to my mom and said, "Hey momma." She smiled at me widely, "You found your mate!" I nodded slowly and looked to see a spitting image of Duncan but older standing beside my dad. The older gentleman smiled and said,"Hello darling I am Jerome Shadow. How are you?" I nodded liking him for being a hell of a lot nicer than his son, "Fine thank you for asking, how are you?" Jerome winked, "Right as rain darling." I smiled and looked at the pale small woman beside him. She looked me over and said, "I'm Duncan's mother Vivian. Pleasure darling." I winced at her icy tone and knew she didn't seem to favor me at all. Nodding to her I looked down awkwardly and suddenly there was a loud gong like noise and I looked at the grandfather clock. "Midnight." My heart thumped and I looked at my parents who smiled at me. "Alright darling we'll see you sometime next week." My mom whispered before kissing my head and walking out with my dad. I wanted to scream for them to take me home but the heavy hand on the small of my back told me he wasn't letting that happen. Looking at Duncan he stared down at me for a moment before he looked to his parents. "Good night." He then proceeded to drag me out of the mansion. Walking out the door, I heard a gasp and saw Clary watching me go with concerned eyes. I started to say something to her but Jason dragged her away and I was yanked out the door. I was led to a Ferrari and shoved into the passenger seat. Leaning back and on the leather seat I stayed stiff against the door as Duncan sped down back streets. Letting the sped and the sensual music relax me I looked over at Duncan and he seemed stressed about something. "How old are you?" I asked him softly. Shadows didn't find their mates until their late thirties or early forties. He couldn't be older than twenty five. Duncan looked at me and then back to the road, "24." I looked at him amused, "Oh...what do you do?" Duncan looked back at me again and then replied, "I'm a business man. " I c****d an eyebrow amused and he smirked at me, "What?" I shrugged, "It's no secret that when a vampire says business they mean break someones knee caps." Duncan snorted, "And you think I'm capable of that?" I looked at him, "Are you?" Duncan didn't answer instead he says, "I'm a business owner. I own a company." I looked at him and asked, "So you have your own place?" Duncan chuckled, "Am I supposed to live with my parents?" I blushed and he noticed, "How old are you?" I looked at him, "I'm eighteen." Duncan nodded slowly but didn't comment. We drove through the night in silence. When Duncan started down a dark driveway I gasped when we ended up at his place. It was a huge house made of glass and stone. Walking in behind him I looked at him as he led me down the hallway. Looking out of the windows I saw pretty city lights on one side and moon on the other side. Walking to a door, Duncan pushed it open and led me inside. "You can crash in here, we can go and get anything you want from your parent's place tomorrow if you want and go from there." I looked at him so confused but he didn't meet my eyes. "We're sleeping separate?" Duncan nodded, "Yeah, no need for us to rush anything darling." I continued to stare at him confused and whispered, "You don't want to-." Before I could finish he hissed and demanded, "Look just go to bed!" I jumped in shock at his demand and flopped on the bed and watched him walk out. Feeling disappointment I sniffled as I took off my dress. Getting in the shower I sat under the spray for awhile letting the water run over me. Laying my head back on the wall I jumped when I heard a noise and showered before hitting the water. When I came out I saw sweats and t-shirt waiting for me folded on the bed. Smelling his cologne I winced knowing he had been in here and hadn't even been tempted. Sleep evaded me that night and all I could do was stare at the ceiling. Sighing I rolled over and threw the covers off of me. Standing on the balcony overlooking grassy hill sides and then city in all it's glory I sat on a chair balled up with a blanket. Jumping when someone placed a cold hand on my shoulder I looked at Duncan and said, "Good morning." Duncan looked me over before casually saying, "Get dressed, we have things to handle today." He then left my room in a gust of cold air. Sighing I ran my hand through my curly hair and huffed.
