Chapter 1

"I can't believe you are doing this!" Trudy exclaims as she smooths out Aryians train of her wedding dress, "I mean really! You have no idea what is waiting out there! He could be a one-toothed old man, a bald fat guy, a short hairy ape, acne filled, thick glasses wearing nerd. What are you going to do if you have nothing in common with this guy? You put all your trust into this woman you've never met!" Trudy keeps going on and on. I turn and give her a look and she freezes, "Trudy, I'm done. I can't find him on my own. She couldn't have done any worse than I have on my own." Looking in the mirror making sure that my hair is perfect, my make-up is finished and my dress is situated correctly on my body. The butterflies are fluttering rapidly now. The time is near. The time to meet my new husband is upon me. Trudy sighs as she stands and looks at the two of us in the mirror, "You look beautiful Aryian. I still cannot understand why you are doing this. You are successful, independent, strong, can have any man you want, and don't have to ask anyone for anything. I just don't get it."  "I'm just tired, Trudy. You have seen the men I pick. Either they cheat on me or they seem sincere and then turn into losers that use me for my money. I keep trying to turn a piece of s**t into gold. Can't make a man into what I want him to be. I see what I want and try to force it upon them. IT's just not working. I can't do this anymore. Thought if someone from the outside can pick for me, maybe they will pick one that will be what will actually work for me." A frown makes its way across my lips. "Stop frowning, it shows your age." Trudy smiles. She gives me a side hug, grabs our bouquets, and heads for the door. "Ready?" I nod nervously and move towards the door. It has only been three months since I saw that ad in the magazine and decided what the hell. Putting all of my trust into this woman I've only spoken to on the phone. She set up everything. I mean everything. The rings she chose are perfect. My set is absolutely beautiful, my dress is stunning, the honeymoon is what I would have chosen. It is like she could read my mind and all I did was answer a simple questionnaire for her. Now to see if she chose the man that I always should have. The music starts and Trudy heads out the door, she turns back, smiles and gives me a wink. That is a good sign, she has seen my new husband already. Or is she messing with me? Oh God, what did I do? I take a deep breath, close my eyes, and step out of the changing room and into the foyer of the church. Letting out my breath, opening my eyes, I turn the corner to the church and start to the altar to meet my new husband. Trudy is ahead of me so I cannot see him. It is like she is purposely walking so that I cannot get a glimpse of him. Looking around, there are people here, I do not know any of them. She handled everything. She even paid people to be here to witness our wedding. All I have is Trudy. No family, just Trudy. So she made sure there would be people to sit on my side to celebrate my day with me. That is kind of sweet. It should be, for fifty grand this should be the wedding and man of my dreams. We shall see..
