Chapter 2

760 Words
As the music plays, I walk slowly down the aisle toward the man that is to be my husband. I am terrified to look up. What if I am disappointed? What if he is? I've spent all this time thinking about myself, never thought that this man has agreed to do the same thing as I. He is walking into this marriage as blindly as I am. I wouldn't say that I am a supermodel or anything but I'm not ugly either. It is a point of mine to take good care of my body, mind, and soul. My hair is a dark blonde that cascades in natural waves past the middle of my back, big brown eyes with long lashes, plump lips, a pert but little bit bulbous nose ( my worst feature I think) and my body is not super slim, there are curves in all the right places. A full bosom makes for nice cleavage in low cut tops. I am proud of the body that was bestowed upon me and I try to keep it just the way it is through a good diet and just the right amount of exercise. My mind had wandered so much that I didn't realize until my foot hit the step that I am at the altar. A hand comes into view. Slowly, I lift my head to see the person that hand belongs to. Seeing a nice sized forearm leading to a large bicep, a sharp shoulder, a thick neck that I can see his pulse racing in the jugular, He is just as nervous as I am. Reaching his face, my mouth opens slightly. He is handsome. Distinct features. Deep blue eyes that pierce through mine into my soul. Dark brown hair that is tousled just perfectly. Now, to hear him speak and the deal will be sealed.  Taking his hand, he helps me up the steps to stand by his side. "Hello," I say quietly. "Hi." A deep husky growl comes from him making my insides quiver. "You look beautiful." He leans down and whispers to me. He is quite a bit taller than I am. He seems at least 6'2" to my 5'4" frame. He smells amazing. I can feel Trudy bouncing with excitement behind me. His best man has a huge smile on his face. I guess they both approve of what is happening here. The pastor clears his throat getting everyone's attention. "May we start?" Looking at the two of us. We are still staring at one another and nod then look to him. "Alright then." The pastor opens his book and begins, "We are gathered here today to join Jensen Alden and Aryian Yates in holy matrimony." Jensen, his name is Jensen. I like it. Mrs. Aryian Alden. Like that also. When Jensen hears my name a joyful sigh leaves his lips. He has been smiling since the first time I looked up to take his hand which was warm and soft, his grip was strong and secure. I've never believed in love at first sight. Kind of changing my mind. My thoughts have wavered so much that we are already to the vows, "Do you Aryian take Jensen to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, to love and to cherish, to protect and honor, through sickness and health till death  do you part?"  The Pastor looks to me, "I do." Jensen deflates with relief. He then repeats the same to Jensen who then replies, "I do." A want to say thank you to him rushes over me. We place the rings on one another's finger and finish up the ceremony. "With the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. Jensen, you may kiss your bride." The pastor smiles closing his book. The music starts, Jensen turns to me with a nervous look on his face. I smile at him raising my hand to his neck giving him a little pull to let him know it is alright. He leans in as to give me a peck. Oh no, this is our first kiss. I need to know what it is going to be like. Turning my head and closing my eyes, I lay one on him that sets the church aflame. When we finally separate breathless, the church erupts in cheers, Trudy's mouth is hanging open and Jensen's best man is high-fiving him. That was the best first kiss of my life. I cannot wait to get to know this man, my husband better.
