We walk out of the church to see two limos waiting. Are we having a reception? We know no one here so why would we feed, dance, and drink with these people? I look to Jensen and he seems as confused as I. The limo driver comes over to the four of us, "Hello, you must be the Aldens?" We nod, "You will be in my limo, your best man and maid of honor will ride in the other limo. We will be taking you to your next destination." He moves to the side so we have a clear route to the limo.
"Why can't we all ride together?" I ask
"Miss thought that you should have a moment alone to get acquainted. So, two limos have been provided." He smiles at us and moves his hand as to usher us to our car.
Jensen takes my hand and we walk together to the limo and climb inside. It's so big inside. Jensen sits all the way across from me against the window behind the driver. He notices the bottle of champagne and pours us both a glass. "Thank you, Jensen," I say meekly, almost blushing.
"You are very welcome, Aryian." He says my name slowly making sure to not mess it up. "That is a beautiful name."
"Thank you. Please come sit here with me." I say moving over to make room for his large frame.
He is hesitant at first but then comes over and sits with me. "Do you have any idea where we are going?"
"Not a clue. She never told me what today had in store. I just figured the wedding and then we would head out for the honeymoon." Shrugging my shoulders, sipping my champagne. The bubbles make me giggle a little. We hit a bump and some of the sweetness splashes up on my nose.
Jensen chuckles and reaches out rubbing the dribbles off of my nose with his thumb. My body heats up to his touch. "Thank you." We both smile enjoying the rest of the ride just staring into the eyes of each other.
The limo stops and the driver opens the passenger door putting a hand out to assist me. As I climb out lights grab my attention. We are an extremely expensive restaurant. Trudy runs up next to me grabbing my arm, her mouth wide open in awe of the place. As successful as I am, this is a place I've only dreamt of coming to. Only the very well off come to this place. Jensen takes my hand and we all head inside.
We are met by a hostess that leads us to a private room that is decorated with beautiful flower arrangements, candles, and silk accents. There is a small wedding cake in the corner with a bride and groom on the top with handcrafted knife and spatula next to it. The table is set with exquisite china and silverware that looks like it cost a small fortune. We all take a seat smiling widely at the attention that we are getting. A private waitstaff comes flowing in and out filling our glasses with water, different wines to complement each course of the meal. I learn that Jensen's best man is his best friend from high school Nolan. Trudy seems to be smitten with him. I guess they talked much on their ride from the church to the restaurant. She hangs on every word when he speaks. I kick her shin a few times to bring her back to the now and she just giggles.
Before we cut the cake, I ask Trudy if she will assist me in the lady's room and she agrees. We have our own private restroom! It is amazing. There is soft music playing, a chase lounge chair, candles, soft lighting, the walls are a dark rose color, fresh flowers that smell wonderful, a large stall and a huge trifold mirror that gives you the ability to look at your whole self to make sure you are perfect.
"So?" Trudy smiles widely at me.
"What?" I don't know what to tell her feeling a bit embarrassed because she is lifting my dress so I can get my ass on the toilet to pee.
"What do you think of your new husband?" She wiggles her eyebrows.
"He is handsome. He sets my soul on fire. Other than that, I really don't know him." I shrugged trying to get around the dress to wipe.
"You two didn't talk on the ride over here?" She furrows her brow at me as she fixes my dress.
"No. We just stared at one another." It seems sort of weird to me also. "Seems that you and Nolan are getting along swimmingly though," I say teasingly.
Trudy shies away from me, "He is amazing! I know it will never go anywhere but, he is just wonderful." She looks away dreamily.
We leave the restroom and head back to the men to cut the cake and see what the rest of the night has in store for us.
