Chapter 3 Fish 00:02 am A rooftop, Bronx, New York After a marathon of hacking from Monday to Tuesday, Vira finally gets to find Mr. Nobody’s phone number. So much for going unidentified. She punches in each number and waits for the phone to ring. Just you wait until you pick up, she says internally. Her notebook is ready for tracing the call. “Hello, who is this?” His Spanish accent is so thick that it makes her want to gauge his throat. Yes, she remembers that feeling very well, and she knows who this is. “Hecate. Long time no hear. I thought you have kicked that bucket ages ago,” Vira asks, her tone insulting. “Y-you….” At first he sounds shocked, but then that shock soon turns to anger. “You!” “I’m honored that you still remember me, considering your old age. Don’t work up too much, though, or else you would be dead by any minutes and I will be left unsatisfied of not having the dishonor to kill you myself.” “No voy a caer muerto hasta que me tengo que muertos en primer lugar, su hijo maldito!” he yells from the other line. The tracing is closing in on to him. But to make old fool keeps talking, she has to be creative and use reverse thinking on him. “Listen, I would love to stay and chat, but I have urgent matter to attend to. Let’s get down to business, shall we? Answer me, where is my cousin.” “What cousin? I do not have your sick cousin!” “Hey, watch your mouth. My cousin is not sick,” I try to sound angry. “He just have a very singular taste.” “My nephews were dead because of him, and every single one of their corpses has c*m in their gilipollas!” If Vira is any normal girl, she would have flinch by the sharpness of his crude tone. “Like I said: very singular taste. But seriously, back to my question.” “I don’t f*****g know where that bastard is, and frankly, I don’t f*****g care!” “Well, Hecate, you should be. Now that I remember, Bronx has been rather loud lately.” Then she gasps, as if she is really surprised. “Does that have anything to do with Bronox? Are you back in the game, Hecate? Is your puttana still with you? Oh, how silly of me. Of course she is. The two of you are up to no good again, aren’t you?” “Shut up, shut up, shut up! Shut up!” Vira gets a hold of his location. The thing about Hecate is that he always look for the most isolated hideout. She hacks into the electronic system in the building he’s in. It does not take long before she gets through the barrier and in control. Without as much as a warning, she presses the Enter button and blows up all electronic devices in that building. From the screaming at the other line, she knows that it gets to him. Vira also manages to pick up a female scream from the other line. Schlin. Good old w***e. Now she has a bigger fish to catch. Time to settle some old grudges. She needs to end things with Bronox for once and for all.
