Chapter 12

825 Words
Rowena When Jesse and I got to Beau's office, I saw Seth and many other men in the room. The room had been set up to look like a small meeting room. "Rowena, Jesse. Have a seat. We have much to talk about." Beau said, and we did as told. "Alright, Rowena has informed me that she believes she knows where her former Alpha is keeping her brother. Row, mind telling us more and telling them what you told me?" He spoke before all the attention was on me. I explained everything to them, about the cabin, its location, how far from Blood Hollows territory line, the terrain. All of it. By the time we were dismissed, many hours had passed. I was hungry. "Rowena, wait up." I heard Seth yell from behind me as I tried to get away from the room fast. I had to slow down. I felt him grab my arm and turn me to face him. "Why didn't you ask me to go on a run for you? Why did you ask that bonehead loser?" He asked me, sounding kind of mad. I tried to back away because he was scaring me. "I just wanted to do something on my own for the day. Meet other people. And Jesse isn't bad. He's nice." I said softly. "But, he's way over your age. He's too old for you." He snapped. I started to get a little pissed, and I heard Lyall whimper in fear. "I'm not looking for a relationship with anyone. I'm only twelve. I'm just looking for people to hang out with." I said, my voice rising slightly. "Well, you should be looking to men more your age." He said louder. I slapped him. Hard. "How dare you! Are you not hearing a word I'm saying? I'm not looking for a relationship with anyone. Besides, I can hang out with whoever I want. You have no right dictating what I do and who I do it with." I shouted with tears streaming down my face. I began to turn around, when suddenly, I felt him yank harshly on my arm, knocking my shoulder out of place. When I was facing him, I didn't even have time to blink before I was on the ground with the left side of my face hurting bad and blood coming out of my nose. He just punched me in the face. During my fall, I must have screamed loud because I could now hear thundering footsteps coming our way. I couldn't think of that because suddenly, I felt something hit my rib cage painfully, and I rolled onto my side holding my ribs. I heard Seth's voice calling me a slut while repeatedly kicking and punching me. Soon, the blows stopped, but the pain continued. I felt strong, lean arms lift me, and the uninjured side of my face pressed to a warm chest. The person holding me was soon moving at a fast pace, and I could hear shouting coming from the direction of Beau's office. "Lock him up in the cells." Then we turn a corner, and I couldn't hear anything else. I was crying so hard, and Lyall was cowering in the back of my mind. I heard an electronic door make a hissing noise before opening. "Oh, dear Goddess. What happened to her?" I heard Shaun horrified voice say. "Seth happened." I heard a voice, realizing it was whoever was carrying me. "Set her there on that bed. Marg, can you bring me the kit?" Shaun called out. I felt myself being put down and felt someone lifting my shirt. I screamed and began lashing out with my nails. "Ow, s**t. I need Aria and Jaylen in here." Shaun said. I smelt two different florals like scents. "I have it, daddy. I can fix up her injuries." I heard an unfamiliar female voice. "Thank you, Rose," Shaun said before the hissing sounded again. "We're here, Shaun. Jess, go wait in the waiting room." I heard Jaylen's voice. I whimpered and grabbed for Jesse, only just realizing that he had been the one to bring me in here. I felt hands pushing mine down. "Row, he has to leave, you'll be completely bare up top. I know you don't want males to see you like that." Jay said. I whimpered again but kept my hands pressed to my chest. "Rose, we have to make this quick considering her past," Aria said. "Yes, Luna. I understand. Just lift her shirt so I can see how much damage there is." I heard the other girl say after Jesse left. I felt Aria's hands on my skin as she lifted my shirt, and Jaylen was running her fingers through my hair soothingly. There were poking and prodding and sewing and dabbing for what felt like forever. I couldn't open my left eye. I guess I should be more careful about who I befriend.
