Friends Are Worry

After class with Chiro ended, Mui decide to go straight away toward the student’s administration shop, but right after he leave the classroom, a voice greeted him.

“Hey Mui!” Karas and Raul waiting at him outside of the class. The Beastmen waving, and the come closer toward Mui.

“Wait a minute, something about you feels... Different,” commented the Beastmen. Usually, he is able to speak with Mui within eye level, but if they are standing face-to-face, the only thing Karas could see is his neck.

“You grown quickly for a person who just break curfew once,” commented Raul with a giggle, where Mui answer is with a dry laugh, trying to act natural.

“Yeah!” Karas suddenly adding the conversation. “Yesterday when someone suddenly barging into the room, we are very surprised! We thought you were a burglar!”

“Eh, Yesterday?” Mui frowning, he don’t remember what happened yesterday after he acquired new power, but he slightly remember the hazy vision of his room and his roommate.

“Ah! Yeah! Yesterday... I don’t feel really well you know, after training, I feel dizy, going back to the dorm with only half of my conciousness!” Mui made up those excuse, he don’t want their roommate to suspicious of what actually happened.

Either of practicing Black Magic or forming contract with former king of the Devil, both prospect sound dangerous to whoever sane person that listening to it. Mui is not only will lost his status inside the school, but he also will be hunted by the soldiers of the kingdom.

“Again? You wanted to sleep at the infirmary like yesterday?” Raul speak with a little bit mocking tone.

“You should not pushed your body too far. Although I think that it is pretty much paid up now,” says Karas while looking at mui’s structure. With Mui now have his body buffed, Karas now is the shortest member of the room.

Suddenly, everyone can her big grumble sound, Mui felt his stomach shaking that become the only explanation of where that sound come from.

“Damn, someone is hungry,” chuckling Raul. “We didn’t see you at the dining hall, probably that stomach misses that place,”

“You should eat first Mui, we haven’t seen you in the dining hall since this morning. Don’t let your body broke down again this time!” said Karas. Both of them then turned their body, and walked away.

“No one wanted to accompany me with a friendly dinner?” asked Mui, it was just a small talk so both of them would not feel so strange with his new body.

“Not now! We have to did Professor Guilotin’s assignment, or he will put us in the chopping board!” said Karas as he walks away.

Once again, that grumble voice come along with shaking sensation that comes from Mui’s stomach, but this time is followed with the feeling of dizzinies in his head.

“Argh!” Mui grabbed his head and food at the same time, he feel extremely thirsty and hungry.

“You’re in dangerous condition, that beastmen got a point. You should eat at the dining room first before going to do anything else,” said Goettia.

Mui does not answer, but he did walk to the direction of dining hall instead the school’s general shop. Inside this place is quiet, and the food served are also only little left behind.

“Oh well, beggar can’t be chooser.” said Mui to himself.

The last and smallest chicken meat, with the remaining soup that mainly is water. Mui hope that he could have rice or bread to fill up his stomach, but these have to fill his belly, at least until he can have a proper meal in the dinnertime.

“From now on, you have to be careful with your body, especially when it comes to meal,” suddenly Goettia is speaking to Mui again through telepathy. “As a master, you have the job to maintain the existence of your magic item by supplying him with mana. This process is automatic, and even I can’t do anything to delay or speed up the process of acquiring mana from your body. Therefore, eating has become even more relevant than how it was before,” explain Goettia.

“I see,” thought Mui as he chewing his food and savor anything that making contact with his tongue. “I never read that contract, but I know there must be certain duties I have to fulfill isn’t it?”

“Something like that,” said Goettia. “The most important thing, don’t skip your meal! It will be better if you eating with balanced nutrients, but it will not make any difference with other means, such as potion or supplements,” he said as Mui continues to eat his food.

Mui finishes his meal, dissatisfied and still hungry. He gets up and proceed to the next objective: the school’s store and supply shop.

When he opened the door of the hall, suddenly a figure standing in front of him, making him frozen in place.

“E-Emmellia!?” said Mui surprised, the princess is standing there with hand folded in front of her stomach, her body languange not showing any sign of hostility thought, as if he genuinely wanted to talk to Mui.

“Hey, um... I heard that Julius and Challender doing something bad for you?” asked Emmellia, she had been surprised with Mui’s physical transformation in the class, and she hopes that it’s not impacting too much on himself.

“Oh yes, Challender and Julius, um... They are just helping me, for something... Related to the Chivalry, something like that?” Mui lost for words, cold sweat running down through his entire body.

“Awkward,” tease Goettia on his mind.

“Um, if... You don’t want to say anything again, maybe I’ll take my leave... Gotta go to the school store and getting a new uniform, haha,” Mui let out a dry laugh, but Emmellia stopped him before Mui could turn away.

“Um, Mui! For the assignment that Miss Chiro gave,” Suddenly Mui stopped, he turn away and seeing that Emmellia is fidgeting as she said that.

“Would you join my group? I see that you starting to grasp the knowledge of potion... Maybe we can help each other out,” she said.

There is a moment of silence for Mui before he could give a reply.

“Yes...” said Mui, “Yes, that would be great!” he said again, this time with a louder voice.

“Great, then I’ll see you at the library after dinner alright? We will talking over our assignment over there.”

Emmellia turn her body, and then walking away. Meanwhile, Mui starring at her, with a dumbfounded face. He then turn away, and walking to the oposite side, toward the school shop. Smile is blossoming on his face.

“That is youth for you,” said Goettia.
