My father lifted his eyebrow from the game, “You will have bail me out, too.” My mother snapped at him, “For what?”  He chuckled, “For helping her.” He pointed to Sage then looked back at the television. I shook my head as Sage laughed with my parents. I am loving that she getting along with my parents so easily as Sage got up and took the remotes away as my father and Tristian groaned in protest, “That is enough with game time, it is time for you to get into the bathroom and get washed up.” A nurse stood in the doorway, “That right.” Both Tristian and my dad groaned in protest again when I laughed and looked at Tristian, “Listen to your mom. She knows best.” Jake and I talked the whole time he was away. His parents, Tiffany, Trevor and Walter stopped by to check on us. I heard Tristian yell at the TV, “Come on Jake.” I looked up as we was watching the game and we are losing which Tristian is not happy about. He jumped in the bed as I held my hands out, “Come on, Yes Touchdown.” He looked up at me, “They are tided.” I nodded at him, “I see that buddy.” He smiled at me, “I can’t wait until Jake gets back.” I smirked at him, “I can’t either buddy.” We are just tied the game and all I can think about is Sage and Tristian when Vincent slapped my shoulder, “Get your head in the game.” I shook my head, “Sorry man.” He tilted his head as he knew what to say to get my head into it, “Do it for them.” I lifted my eyebrow as he chuckled, “You know, Sage and Tristian. Do it for them. Win for them.” I nodded as I smirked and felt my spirits being lifted. It was down at the fourth at the twenty-four line when Jake got the ball in his arms when he looked for an opening player. Tristian and I looked at reach other as he smirked, “He going to make a run for it.” I shook my head, “He wouldn’t.” He did. He ran like the wind as the clock winded down as Tristian and I stood up as we yelled at Jake, “Go. Go.” He threw himself at the touchdown line as his shoulders hit inside with the ball over the line making it a touchdown. Tristian and I danced around as Walter chuckled at us. “I am guessing our boy won the game.” He asked when he lifted his phone when Tristian plopped his butt on the bed, “He did. It was awesome!” I chuckled as Walter came into the room and sat in the chair as he looked up at the TV. Walter looked over to me, “Get ready to pick up that phone.” I walked over to see that Jake took a phone from a teammate when my phone rung. “Jake?” He laughed, “Did you see that?” I placed it on speaker as I walked over to Tristian, “We did.” Tristian yelled into the phone, “That was an awesome play.” He chuckled, “Look at the TV buddy.” He looked up as Jake waved to the camera when Tristian yelled, “I can see you Jake. I see you waving.” Jake laughed, “I made that play for you buddy.” Tristian had the biggest grinned as he yelled, “When you coming home?” Jake looked up at the camera as he pointed to it, “I will be home tonight. I will be at the hospital as soon as we land.” I rushed over to the hospital as I was walking into it when a man walked up to me, “Jake Michaels?” I tilted my head, “Is there something I can help you with?” He sighed, “Listen, I don’t like doing this.” I shook my head as I backed from him, “I don’t know what you want but you need to get out of here.” He shook his head, “I came here to warn you. Warn you to keep an extra eye on your girlfriend. There two people that not happy that you two are together.” He turned around as he ran off. I stood there for a second then called Walter and told him what happened. “What the f**k? I am getting the police involved.” I nodded as I ran to Tristian’s room. I peeked into the room as I took a sigh of relief. They was safe. “I am moving them into the penthouse when Tristian gets released.” He chuckled, “Well, I got her key. She gave it to me to get things for her and Tristian.” I smirked, “Good. Move their things.” I looked at them as Tristian slept in his bed and Sage on the pull-out couch, “Will do. I will have movers there first thing in the morning.” I sighed, “Now, I have to tell Sage what I am doing.” He chuckled, “Good luck with that. I will be in touched when the police want to talk to you.” I nodded as I hung up with him and quietly entered the room. I walked over to Sage as I placed my bag on the floor when I heard Tristian whispered, “Jake is that you?” I looked up at him as I whispered, “Yeah buddy it is me.” I walked over to him and had him move over for me to laid next to him for a few. He looked up at me as he looked over at his mother, “I wish you was my dad.” I ran my hand in his hair, “Me, too. Buddy.” He sighed, “Can you be?” I looked over to Sage, “It is all up to that lady right there.” He smirked at me, “I think she will let you be. You are nice to me.” I chuckled as he gave me a hug when he whispered, “I love you, Jake.” I looked down as my heart dropped in my stomach. I love this kid. I wish I were his sperm donator than that Jake ass that is. I laid my lips on top of his head, “Love you, too buddy.”
